Since the moment Jeff Cobb vs. JONAH was announced for the A-Block, fans have had their calendar circled. That comes on Friday, and tonight they will clash in tag team action – with Bad Dude Tito backing up JONAH, and Aaron Henare behind Jeff Cobb.

JONAH & Jeff Cobb Level Each Other With Headbutts

Cobb & JONAH would lock up hard in the middle of the ring – but neither man would budge. Tito & Henare would get some tags, and Henare would hit the springboard roundhouse kick out of the corner. Heavy strikes would follow, with body shots, leg kicks and headbutts all flying from Henare.

JONAH would hit a knee to the back from the apron, allowing for Tito to hit the running lariat. JONAH would tag into the match and hit some heavy lariats, before an elbow butt to the head. Henare would fight with some body shots, before a body splash and lariat from TMDK.

Tito would miss an enziguri and take a roundhouse kick to the chest, before Cobb got the tag. A big shoulder tackle would drop Tito before Cobb rode him like a surfboard. Running vertical suplex would follow, before the standing moonsault. JONAH & Cobb would trade blows in the middle of the ring, neither man taking a knee even after colliding with lariats.

Headbutts would be traded, and both stumbled after cracking skulls. Tito & Henare picked up the fight with a roll up from Tito getting a two count. Henare nailed the Skull Kick, and Streets Of Rage brought the finish.

SHO Can’t Win Without A Wrench

EVIL was off to a hot start in the G1 Climax, before Tetsuya Naito pulled out his classic style – and was able to defeat him in a hard hitting encounter. Still feeling the effects of a piledriver off the apron through a table, he will lead House of Tortutre into battle tonight against Suzuki-gun, where Zack Sabre Jr is next on his list of singles matches.

Archer would start with SHO & Dick Togo, offering them the first shot before taking SHO out with an elbow smash. Togo would stare down Archer, who called for a test of strength, before Togo poked him in the eye. Archer would take him out, before letting Taichi in to keep the pressure on.

SHO & Takahashi would take Taichi to the floor and attack him, before Togo tagged EVIL in – and Taichi got choked with a shirt. Takahashi would hit a big boot to the face of Taichi, before looking for the Fisherman Buster. Taichi would block, before ZSJ tagged in and got the Cobra Twist on EVIL.

A poke to the eye would almost set up Darkness Scorpion, but ZSJ would block before having his face raked with a boot. SHO & ZSJ would meet in the ring, with ZSJ twisting the ankle of SHO in unnatural manner. TAKA would be tagged in, and SHO would get taken into JUST Face Lock. Takahashi would interrupt, and SHO needed to use a wrench shot to pin TAKA Michinoku, which is just sad when you think about it.

Chase Owens Gets The Win For BULLET CLUB

Tetsuya Naito finally claimed his first two points of the tournament in a brutal encounter against EVIL, but the work is just getting started. Tonight with BUSHI & Shingo Takagi by his side, he will face Bad Luck Fale, El Phantasmo & Chase Owens of BULLET CLUB.

Shingo & ELP would kick things off, and ELP was run down with a shoulder tackle. Monkey Flip from ELP was blocked, but the sliding lariat was likewise avoided. Hip toss from Shingo would lead to the Naito tag, before BUSHI hit the dropkick.

ELP would rake the back of Naito, before forcing him into the BULLET CLUB corner. Fale would throw some heavy strikes, but Owens would lose control of Naito. BUSHI hit the ring, but was beaten down by BULLET CLUB. Shingo nailed a DDT and sliding lariat on ELP, before BUSHI took the C-Trigger and Package Piledriver – leading Chase Owens to the victory.

Gedo Should Never Be Left Alone In The Ring

After nine nights of tournament action, only two men remain unstoppable – with Kazuchika Okada ruling the A-Block, and Jay White doing the same in the B-Block. These old rivals could be on the way to an intense semi-finals clash, but tonight will meet in trios action, as Okada brings Hiroshi Tanahashi & YOSHI-HASHI – while White brings Juice Robinson & Gedo.

White & Okada would kick things off, and White would get planted by a DDT while he was busy starting up a chant. Tanahashi & Okada would hit a double elbow on White, before Robinson would throw Tanahashi around on the floor and into the barricades. Robinson would work over the knee of Tanahashi in the ring, before White would keep the pressure on.

Tanahashi would hit some dragon screws, including a two for one special on White & Gedo. YOSHI-HASHI got the tag, and would catch Robinson in the ring – almost getting a Fisherman Buster – but getting caught with a spinebuster. Okada would hit a dropkick on White, before Gedo was left in the ring with YOSHI-HASHI, and tapped out with the Butterfly Lock.

Will White & Okada remain undefeated in their blocks? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
