Just a few days before he locks up with a re-invigorated Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley gives someone the biggest chance of their career. Mancer made it clear he was here for a fight tonight, and is ready to bleed with Moxley in a pre-match promo. He’s not worried about the pay window tonight, and Moxley would get right into Warner with some strikes. Warner would respond with a chop before tossing Moxley into the barricade.
Snap suplex through a steel chair would follow, with Moxley going after the back of Warner – before he’d get dropped crotch first on the barricade. In the ring, Warner would hit some chops – and this would fire Moxley up. A dropkick to the knee and the Dragon Screw would be followed by the Figure Four Leg Lock.
Warner would fight free, and whipped Moxley hard into the corner before a sliding dropkick – and the cowboy boots of Warner just added more damage. This one spilled to the floor, and Moxley would be slammed onto a steel chair. Moxley would fight back and look for the Gotch Style Piledriver on the steel steps, but Warner would hit the DDT instead.
Jon Moxley Gets A Helluva Fight From Mance Warner
Warner would nearly get the countout win, and Warner would rush in with a boot to the jaw as Moxley hit the ring. He’d apply a figure four of his own, as William Regal explained that Blackpool Combat Club needs to face tough wrestlers like Mance Warner to get better. In the ring. Moxley would fight free of the hold, but had his ankle stomped.
Spinebuster brought a near fall, before Warner hit some mounted punches to the face. Moxley would simply ask for more, and took a boot to the face for a two count. Warner was sent to the floor, and nailed the suicide dive onto Moxley. Back in the ring, a superplex would be set, and a bloody Warner took the Hammer & Anvil elbow smashes.
Warner would take a knee strike and come back with a lariat, only for Moxley would go for the Kimura Lock. He’d move into the stomps to the head, before a piledriver and more stomps. Bulldog Choke was applied, and Warner would pass out. Another win for Moxley, but more damage on his body before he takes on Jericho.
