The Astroworld Festival tragedy from November 2021 seemed like it would slow down or–according to the mob that came for him in the wake of the tragedy–end the young career of Travis Scott. There were calls for him to be canceled and he lost some endorsements along the way.
His strategy of keeping his head down and doing what he can to reduce the damage has seen him get back into the performing shows this summer. Just recently, he headlined his biggest show since November 5, 2021 at the O2 in London on August 6, 2022.
Travis Scott Headlines Two Shows in London Months After Astroworld Festival Tragedy – Scheduled for Big South American Festival in November
Over the weekend, Travis Scott got back on a big stage and from reports, he didn’t miss a beat on his performances. It makes sense as artists now will attempt to get back into the swing of touring and performing live and not simply go into hiding after an incident.
Scott first got back into performing via smaller, private shows during celebrity after parties before taking on another after party following the Miami Grand Prix in May 2022. After that, he was scheduled on some shows—basically, he kept himself around and relevant.
A bigger performance awaits Travis Scott in early November 2022 as he is a headliner for the Primavera Sound festival which will whip through Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. At least the Houston artist won’t be rusty for those performances.
