Snoop Dogg and Master P recently announced Snoop’s new cereal Snoop Loopz. However, fellow musician Jack White noticed something on brightly colored box that really stood out and now he and I both have questions about the new cereal.
Jack White Has Some Serious Questions About Snoop Dogg’s Snoop Loopz Cereal
If you look at the front of the box across the bottom, you’ll notice the big, capital letters “MORE MARSHMALLOWS.” Now, I love marshmallows in cereal and the only thing I dig more than even more marshmallows is Oops, All Berries.
However, Snoop Loopz has “MORE MARSHMALLOWS” than…what? Or who? Does this cereal have more marshmallows than Lucky Charms? Or maybe it has more marshmallows than a previous version of the cereal—which wouldn’t even warrant a promise of “MORE MARSHMALLOWS” if the previous version never made it to the shelf.
Also, starting out the gate with “MORE MARSHMALLOWS” is so bold because…where do you go when you’re already going all in? Snoop Loopz: Aw Sh*t, ALL MARSHMALLOWS?
Jack White took to Instagram to congratulate Snoop on the new business and food venture but he needed this answered as do I.
“I would like to personally congratulate Snoop Dogg on his new cereal release and a pat on the back for its charitable benefits that it will be producing, nice one. But i do have a couple of important questions about the box that the cereal is delivered to customers in; in the press release from Broadus foods, the photo of the cereal box contains the words ‘MORE MARSHMALLOWS’. More than what?”
Alright, same train of thought here. The singer/guitarist would add:
“if this is in fact a brand new cereal, it can’t be more marshmallows than “before”. Is it a statement that this cereal has more marshmallows than say…a bag of sand, or a typical caesar salad? Or, is it a DEMAND from Snoop Dogg himself that we just have more marshmallows in this world in general? That last theory is my hope.”
You and me both, Jack. He would also touch on the graphics typo of “MORE MARSHMALLOW” on Master P’s Instagram. I’d chalk that up promotional material being rushed but this question of “MORE MARSHMALLOWS” is the real issue plaguing the breakfast and breakfast cereal discourse.
One might even say the origin of Snoop Loopz’ “MORE MARSHMALLOWS” will join the pantheon of cereal questions such as “Do you like crunchy cereal or soggy cereal” and “Do you put the cereal in first or the milk?”
Which theory do you believe “MORE MARSHALLOWS” points towards? Does it have more marshmallows than an unreleased prototype of Snoop Loopz? Or does Snoop Dogg just want MORE MARSHMALLOWS overall, damn it.
