After spending more than 20 years in California, Ozzy Osbourne seems ready to move back to his homeland. Ozzy Osbourne has been living in Los Angeles for the best part of his life, after settling down and completely rehabilitating. However now, after little more than 20 years he decides to take his wife Sharon and his three children and return to the UK.
Ozzy Osbourne the Black Sabbath singer and one of the founding members is now 73 years old. He recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of marriage to his wife Sharon. The couple owns an extraordinary Grade II mansion in Buckinghamshire where they occasionally stayed when in the UK.
Ozzy Osbourne Moving Back To The UK As Everything Is Ridiculous In The USA
The reason behind the decision to go back home is the increasing number of mass shootings in the country. “Everything’s f****** ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people killing people every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert … It’s f****** crazy.” – Ozzy said.
Earlier this month Ozzy visited his hometown Birmingham to perform with his Black Sabbath mates at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games. Ozzy’s appearance on stage shocked everyone.
His band mates, his fans, and even his doctors predicted that he would not be able to yet alone make the trip. About the singing at the event part, they didn’t even think. However, Ozzy being Ozzy defies biology and defies medicine. He rocked the classic 1970s hit Paranoid and contributed greatly to the spectacular show. Tony Iommi, the legendary guitarist of the band said that he would never think that they would perform at the event. Ozzy had an operation recently and due to this, Tony thought that traveling will be a complete no-go for him.
“That last operation was only a few weeks ago. Doctors told Ozzy he couldn’t fly.” – the guitarist told Birmingham live. “We’d been invited to perform at the Games a long time ago, but because of Ozzy’s condition I’d forgotten we’d even been asked.”
“I ended up performing solo at the opening ceremony with other musicians whom I’d never met before. Ozzy then got in touch with me to see if he could come and play at the closing ceremony.”
The 74-year-old guitarist says that when Ozzy called him to inform him that he is coming to the event, he decided to keep it a secret so the fans can get that extra surprise effect.
“I don’t know how Ozzy managed to get here from LA without anybody spotting him. I don’t think he came on a private jet.”
