Britney Spears has admitted that she was disappointed about her son Jayden’s comments that she ‘struggled’ to be a mother.
Britney Spears ‘Disappointed’ After Her Son Jayden Suggested She Was A Bad Mother
It is no secret that Britney’s parenting had been challenged, as shown by the recent conservatorship that had plagued her life for 13 years with allegations of abuse.
While that may have been the case, it still did not detract from the disappointment that Jayden went through. He alleged that his mother had failed to treat the children equally with suggestions that they had suffered from mental fragilities.
In Jayden’s comments at the time, he said: “I think Mom has struggled giving us both attention and showing us equal love, I don’t think she showed enough to Preston, and I feel really bad for that.
“We’ve both been through so much pressure in the past that this is our safe place now.”
Understandably, that hit home as Britney was impacted by the comments. After all, she does not have the best of relationships with her mother, Lynne Spears, and her father Jamie Spears.
And to see things come full circle to the point where her children have expressed criticism of her is bound to hurt. And so it showed, as Britney vowed to make things up if she was given the opportunity to do so.
In response to the comments, she remarked: “It deeply saddens me to know [Jayden’s] outcry of saying I wasn’t up to his expectations of a mother.
“And maybe one day we can meet face to face and talk about this openly !!!!”” The fans on social media had sympathy for Britney.
A certain subset of people hoped that the two would be able to patch things up at some point in the future. One person wrote: “Your children will see the light one day Britney.
“And they’ll one day see that your love for them was unconditional and that you’ve been their number one all along.”
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
