Olivia Wilde admitted that she was made to remove several sex scenes from the trailer of her movie, ‘Don’t Worry Darling.’
Olivia Wilde Reveals She Had To Remove Lots Of Sex Scenes From The Trailer Of ‘Don’t Worry Darling’-‘I Was Upset’
The star is currently directing the movie which is set to come out on Friday, 23rd September 2022. And the anticipation for the movie has already been growing by previous comments made by the film’s star Florence Pugh.
She urged her fans that the movie was more than about the sex scenes involving Harry Styles. And yet, it seems that Olivia’s comments suggested a film that was quite sexual.
In her comments, she said: “There’s a lot that had to be taken out of the trailer. The MPA came down hard on me and the trailer at the last second.
“I had to cut some shots, which I was upset about because I thought they it took it up another notch.” The primary reason why Olivia was annoyed was due to the fact she wanted to make a statement with the film.
She admitted that American cinema does have a lack of eroticism, which she expressed was only something recent. And in order to counter that, Olivia wanted to be as bold as possible. But by doing so, she recognised that it could turn off cinema-goers.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “And yet people get upset. I mean, people are upset with me already over this. I think it’s a testament to the film. We want to be provocative. The idea is not to make you feel safe.”
Well, Olivia has certainly made an impression with the film. Fans will have an opportunity to see her boyfriend Harry Styles perform. Not only that, but the movie received a lot of publicity after reports Olivia had fired Shia Labeouf from it.
Shia then came out to deny that this had happened by stating he left due to not being able to have a schedule that fitted in with the movie.
