The Racine County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin have arrested a prison official who was allegedly having an ongoing sexual relationship with an inmate.
In a press release from August 24, 2022, it was revealed that the Sheriff’s Office became aware of inappropriate behavior involving supervisor Jacqueline Heidt (37) dating back to spring 2022.

Things happened quickly as the Sheriff’s Office received a criminal complaint about the allegations on August 24. After seizing Heidt’s smartphone, investigators had all they needed to confirm the allegations.
The relationship started sometime in April and ended on August 4 and the inmate involved had specifics on how often and how regularly they saw each other. By the inmate’s recollection, they would meet three or four times a week.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office chalked the number of times they had intercourse to “at least 20 times, but less than 40 times.” That’s just intercourse, there were at least two times when they did something sexual that wasn’t intercourse.

Jacqueline Heidt was brought in for an interview on August 25 and would deny that anything inappropriate took place. Once the evidence from her cellphone came into play, she reportedly stonewalled investigators.
The former prison supervisor was hit with 20 counts of second-degree sexual assault by correctional staff as well as misconduct in public office and delivering illegal articles to an inmate.
Heidt is being held in Racine County Jail and her cash bail was initially set at a little over $1.1 million. On August 30, her bond set at $5,000 cash with house arrest and GPS tracking terms.
She is looking at up to 77 years and fines of $220,000 if she is convicted of all charges. She is scheduled to appear in court on September 21, 2022.
