Recently, news broke out that a tabloid owner is accusing Thomas Markle of trying to kill him. He legitimately worries about his life and proves that in court. As a result, the court ordered two-year protection for the media owner from Thomas Markle, Meghan Markle’s father.
The court duly invited Thomas Markle to Tuesday’s court hearing, but he did not attend it by choice. That is why the judge gave the restraining order in his absence. The court decision is in power immediately, and Thomas Markle is now not allowed to get near Jeff Rayner, the tabloid co-owner in the following two years.
A Tabloid Owner Gets A Restraining Order Against Thomas Markle After He Threatened To Kill Him
TMZ reports that Jeff Rayner, the co-owner of the Coleman-Rayner tabloid, was fearing for his life after Thomas Markle threatened him. The tabloid is the same one that published the story of the ‘staged’ photos of Thomas Markle reading the pictorial history of the United Kingdom.
“Rayner screwed me, and I’m going to find a way to screw him over before I die. I want to tear him down. If they tell me I’ve got terminal cancer, then I’ll kill him because I have nothing to lose.” – Thomas Markle allegedly said in a recent book.
The book in question is Tom Boyer’s ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between The Windsors’.
Jeff Rayner fears that Thomas Markle might use a gun to do the work. Since he takes his age and illness into consideration, physical confrontation would be out of the picture. That is why the fact that Thomas threatened his life caused anxiety, stress, and panic attacks.
“Since he is 78 years old I anticipate he will use a gun or other weapon to carry out a possible attack.” – Jeff Rayner told the court.
Jeff Rayner and Thomas Markle were already in dispute even before the restraining order. Markle filed a lawsuit against the Coleman-Rayner tabloid one year ago after they broke the ‘agreement’ with the ‘staged photos’. According to Thomas, this totally ruined his relationship with his daughter and son-in-law. He also claimed that the stress triggered by the story caused his health condition to worsen dramatically.
It is not like Thomas Markle does not have any support at all in the situation. Meghan Markle’s brother publicly stated that he sides with his dad.
“First of all, Jeff Rayner being threatened by a 78-year-old man who had a heart attack and stroke recently. A man that walks with a cane poses a threat to you. That’s ridiculous and pathetic and embarrassing on your behalf. And on another note, you should file one on me also because I feel the same way. I side with my father feels toward you and your company Coleman-Rayner.” – Meghan Markle’s brother, Thomas Markle Jr told TMZ.
