Upon Meghan Markle and Prine Harry’s request, the police in California will install license plate cameras around their mansion’s neighborhood. Their neighborhood area has become more prone to theft attacks, as it becomes more and more popular amongst wealthy families that buy properties there.
Adam Levine, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom – they all live in the same neighborhood. Ellen DeGeneres, Ariana Grande, and Jennifer Aniston – are neighbors of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The high profile of the inhabitants of the area makes it prone to theft group attacks.
Are Meghan Markle’s Panties And Designer Clothes In Danger Of Being Stolen? Bling Ring Criminal Gang Started Operating Around Royal’s Santa Barbara Mansion
It won’t be the first time that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s home is under attack from theft bands. Back in May the Duke and Duchess of Sussex alerted the police of two intruders entering their home.
The Sun reported that the Montecito Association is aware of the high-value properties in the neighborhood, so they installed cameras all around, recording every movement in the area.
In an email sent to the inhabitants of the area, the Montecito Association explains the reason for the camera installation. They also report that ‘the crimes are being committed by sophisticated out-of-the-area theft gangs.’
The alleged Bling Ring criminal gang that started operating in the area usually undergoes a detailed study on their victims’ property. They first obtain information on how and when the locals leave their properties. The criminal group is famous for accommodating inside the property before robbing it. They go through the personal belongings of the residents and take pictures of themselves wearing the ‘celebrity’s’ clothes and jewelry. Often times aside from taking jewelry or tech items, they steal celebrities’ underwear and designer clothes.
“They help speed up investigations, and they are a force multiplier; they’re out there working 24/7, rain or shine.” – the Montecito association told locals about the installed cameras. “It does not involve facial recognition. The data stays in the camera’s memory for 30 days only. Of course, unless it is part of an investigation.”
According to official police reports, a thief, working alone entered Meghan Markle’s home back on May 19th. At the same time when the couple traveled to the UK for their wedding anniversary. Less than 2 weeks later, on May 31st, another intruder entered their property. Both of the intruders were aware of the couple’s whereabouts before entering the property.
The official police records show really high numbers. Over a period of a year, there have been more than 10 security alert calls to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s property.
