King Charles III reportedly had a nickname for Meghan Markle when she was in the Royal Family.
King Charles III’s Nickname For Meghan Markle Revealed-Called Her ‘Tungsten,’ Says Royal Author Katie Nicholl
That is according to royal author Katie Nicholl in her book entitled, ‘The New Royals.’ Nicknames are something which are synonymous with the Royal Family.
Kate Middleton was infamously branded ‘Waity Katie’ on the apparent basis that she had become desperate in her attempts to marry Prince William.
With that being said, the book goes on to allege that the new monarch referred to the Duchess of Sussex as ‘Tungsten.’ This is in reference to the metal that appears as the 74th number on the periodic table.
It is known for being very hard and has the highest melting point in comparison to the other metals. This is something that reflects Meghan’s tendency to act in a way that she thinks is best, irrespective of whether it may offend others.
And that is something that the Royal Family and the public have become all too aware of. In her comments, Katie said: “Charles reportedly nicknamed his future daughter-in-law ‘Tungsten’ because of her toughness and resilience.”
This nickname apparently first came into play when Charles noticed how well Meghan had conducted herself amid the Royal Foundation Forum in 2018.
The Foundation specialises in working on various projects, such as conservation and mental health. So given that Meghan was in the early part of her royal life, she did manage to make an impression on William and Kate.
Katie’s book added: “Meghan was the breakout star of the foursome. She was polished, passionate and funny, using all her TV-honed skills to present her case.
“That was a wake-up moment for William and Kate when they realized that Meghan was very impressive, very confident and very capable.”
Now that Meghan is no longer in the firm, does the nickname still hold weight? So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
