UFC Legend Anderson Silva Says We Are About To See More Of Him Regardless Of Jake Paul Match Outcome

There were rumors that the UFC legend Anderson Silva might retire from boxing after the Jake Paul match. Especially if he comes out of it as a loser. However, he put an end to these rumors as he denied them as untrue. Win, lose or draw, he will remain in the game.

TMZ reported that they spoke with the MMA legend and asked him about his upcoming fight with the ‘young blood’ Jake Paul. The outlet asked if maybe the rumors are true and that this might be the last boxing bout that we are about to see him in. However, the answer was pleasing for all Anderson Silva fans. He will remain in the game as long as he feels potent to give more to the world.

“No, no, definitely not.” – Anderson Silva said of his retirement rumors. “I don’t know when I’m gonna stop. I know one day I will stop. But not now. I try to challenge myself every day, and especially right now my kid started fighting, and I help my kid.”

Anderson Silva is easily one of the best MMA fighters in the world. He has been in the sport for more than a quarter of a century and has roamed the UFC octagon from 2006 until 2020. Up until 2012, he was on a winning streak that catapulted him to the top of the ranking lists. He won 16 consecutive fights and holds the record for the longest winning streak in the UFC up until this day.

Speaking about boxing, Anderson Silva comes out fresh from a win over his former UFC colleague Tito Ortiz, and from an impressive win over Julio Cezar Chavez Jr in 2021.

“I’m so lucky because I continue doing something special. It’s not about proving anything for anybody. It’s about a challenge for myself.” – Anderson Silva said of his boxing career.

As for Jake Paul, the ‘Problem Child’ is 5-0-0 in his boxing career. He has 4 of those wins by knockout. While many criticize him, there are numerous people starting to realize that he is indeed talented in boxing. Jake Paul has nothing but respect for his opponent. The ‘Problem Child‘ pledged not to trash talk before the fight which is unusual for him. He pledges even not to celebrate big if he manages to knock out the UFC legend.

Despite the age gap between the two fighters, Anderson Silva is still the betting favorite, as he is more experienced and has fought more experienced boxers.
