One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has admitted that he was struggling to find himself as an artist ever since he went solo.
Louis Tomlinson Admits Struggling To Find Himself Following The Split Of One Direction
The band has been on a hiatus ever since 2016. And as part of that process, all of the members went on to pursue solo projects.
While that may have been the case, Harry Styles has been the one who has managed to captivate the public’s imagination with numerous hit songs.
He has managed to obtain number one singles in both the United States and the UK, with not many artists having managed to achieve such a feat.
Not only that, but Styles has also had a successful movie career by appearing in ‘Dunkirk’ and ‘Don’t Worry Darling.’ And that is something that did play on Louis’ mind when he looked at his own career.
In his comments, he said: “I’d be lying if I said it didn’t bother me at first, but it’s not surprising to me that Harry’s the most commercially successful because he really fits the mould of a modern star.”
Nevertheless, there is no animosity on Louis’ part. He expanded on how he is on good terms with Harry, as he could be a reference point in which he measures his success.
In addition, Louis has not exactly flopped himself. His first album ‘Walls’ managed to reach number 9 on the U.S. Billboard 200 even if he has not scored a number one like Styles in the US.
With that being said, Louis had something to aspire towards. His following comments confirmed as much: “I look on Harry like a brother, man. I have a lot of pride for what he’s doing.”
It is great to see the duo enjoying their success, but the question remaining on everyone’s lips is will the band reunite? We will have to see how this will all play out moving forward.
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
