Back at All Out, The Elite became the first ever AEW World Trios Champions, defeating Hangman Page & Dark Order in the final match of a tournament. We never got to see their reign, due to them being involved in a backstage altercation – and Tony Khan was forced to suspend them and strip them of their titles. Death Triangle would win the belts just days later, and proved to be dominant champions. All the while, mysterious vignettes about The Elite would air – and now they’re back, and want their titles once again.

    The Elite Debut New Music

The Elite would come out to Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas, a new theme song for a new era of their career – just adding to the excitement of this long awaited return. However, Death Triangle remained less than impressed by this. Don Callis would join commentary, having returned with The Elite – as expected.

Omega would start things off with PAC, locking up hard in the middle of the ring – with them trading holds. PAC would get the better of Omega with a takedown, before being thrown into the corner. Omega would hit the sliding dropkick, before the Kotoro Crusher would be blocked as PAC would handspring to his feet.

Nick Jackson hit the ring with Rey Fenix, with the speed of the match picking up instantly. Fenix attempted a sunset flip powerbomb after they battled near the ropes, only to be countered. Neither man could land a major blow, just counter after counter before they’d land kicks and trade forearms before stumbling into a tag.

Matt Jackson & Penta would get the tags, and Lucha Bros & Young Bucks traded superkicks. Omega would get the tag and run PAC off the apron, before The Elite would control the ring – taking down opponents one after another. Nick would hit a dive to the floor flying through the legs of his brother, and got a drink from the crowd.

All Out Trios Action From Six Of The Best In The World

PAC would hit a dropkick to the knee of Omega, preventing the rolling fireman’s carry on Penta. Death Triangle would hit a triangle dropkick, before a bloody PAC would hit some harsh strikes to the spine of Omega before a scoop slam. Omega would be able to get the tag, and Matt would catch the Lucha Bros with an impressive series of Northern Lights Suplexes.

Fenix would roll Matt into position for the dropkick to the tailbone from Penta, getting a near fall. Matt would take a chop to the chest before completing the tag. Nick would show his speed in taking down the Lucha Bros with a springboard takedown, before Omega would get back into the ring with PAC.

Omega would punch PAC away before nailing those explosive snapdragon suplexes. Fenix would get spiked on the apron with a DDT from Matt, before Penta would be launched to the floor with a superrana onto a pile of bodies. The Elite were fearless tonight, and it was paying off.

Back in the ring, Omega would hit a Fisherman Brainbuster to the knee, getting a two count on PAC. V-Trigger would be dodged, with Omega ricocheting off the ropes and into a German Suplex. PAC would be set up into the Meltzer Driver, but Lucha Bros would make the save before a triple tombstone to The Elite.

Rey Fenix Does What He Has To For The Good Of Death Triangle

Fenix would hit a splash off the shoulders of Penta, before hitting a flipping piledriver to Matt. Nick was dropped with a cutter, before PAC hit the Black Arrow. Brutalizer would be applied, with Nick making the save before Omega tapped out. Young Bucks would be taken out on the floor by Lucha Bros, before Fenix rocked Omega with a kick to the face before a double stomp to the abdomen.

PAC tossed the bell hammer to Fenix, who refused to use it. V-Trigger would land before Tiger Driver ‘98 would get a near fall. The Elite would land a triple superkick on Penta, before Fenix took two superkicks and a V-Trigger. PAC would make the save, before trying to use the hammer but was dropped with a superkick, being sent out to the floor.

Fenix would be handed the hammer as he took the V-Trigger, and he’d use it to block the One Winged Angel – before the roll up for the finish. He did what he had too for the victory, and it saved the reign of Death Triangle. Fenix didn’t want to win like that, but sometimes you need to bend the rules.
