It’s been 5 years since Saraya has been able to lace up her boots and enter a wrestling ring – but her long journey to get cleared has paid off. When she arrived in AEW, she instantly took aim at former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker, and a series of heated promos leads to tonight. Britt Baker’s dedication and heart for the business has been put into question by Saraya, despite Baker putting the AEW Women’s division on her back and making it successful. She feels Saraya is trying to swoop in and take her spotlight, and won’t let that stand tonight.

Saraya Wrestles First Match In Five Years

This one instantly turned into a brawl, with Saraya able to hold her ground before being caught into a headlock. She’d shove her way free, before being rocked with a shoulder tackle. Saraya would milk her past injuries to get a chance to recover, concerning even Baker before grabbing a headlock of her own. Baker was sent off the ropes, before a short range superkick.

Saraya would be lured to the floor by Baker, before a tight neckbreaker off the apron. Another neckbreaker would follow in the ring, before Baker would signal for the Lockjaw. Saraya would fight free, before a running neckbreaker and some elbows to the neck. Baker would go as far to choke Saraya, causing her to roll to the floor for a chance to breathe.

Saraya would manage to set up an Electric Chair drop onto the apron, before a diving crossbody. They’d trade blows in the middle of the ring, before some short armed lariats from Saraya. Baker would be stomped into the corner, before Saraya hit the Nightcap for a two count. RamPaige would be blocked, with Baker looking for Lockjaw again.

Air Raid Crash would follow after Saraya would get the rope break, before a Curb Stomp. Avalanche Air Raid Crash would be blocked into a powerbomb, getting Saraya two count, before the RamPaige for the two count. Baker would finally apply the Lockjaw, with Saraya able to counter into a roll up.

Running knee to the face would land, but still not enough to keep Baker down. Baker would hit a neckbreaker and another curb stomp, before Saraya would hit back to back RamPaige’s for the victory!

    Wardlow Enters Risky Triple Threat

The worst mistake Wardlow has made in AEW so far, was ignoring Samoa Joe by his side. The TNT Champion had an uneasy alliance with Joe, and shoved him aside one too many times – leading to him being choked out. Combine this with the threat of Powerhouse Hobbs breathing down his next, and suddenly – Wardlow finds himself in his most dangerous situation to date as champion. Tonight, the TNT Championship is on the line in a triple threat match, with Wardlow looking to take down Joe & Hobbs in one fell swoop.

Wardlow would go right after Joe as the match began, brawling to the outside while Hobbs just watched and waited for his moment to nail a running body block. Back in the ring, a delayed vertical suplex from Hobbs to Wardlow landed, before Joe rushed in and took an elbow to the face. Joe would be launched with an Exploder Suplex, with Hobbs taking notes during Akiyama vs. Kingston earlier.

Hobbs would toss Joe into the corner, before trying to throw Wardlow into him – only to take an XL Whisper In The Wind. Wardlow would throw some headbutts, before a wind up lariat on Hobbs. Swanton Bomb would follow, but the pinfall was broken up with a running senton from Joe. Hobbs & Joe would battle as Wardlow recovered, with the champion hitting the ring with a set of spinebusters.

Samoa Joe Is An Expert At Picking His Spot

A brawl to the floor would follow between Hobbs & Wardlow, with Joe leaping off the apron. He’d be thrown into a steel chair, before Hobbs hit the Last Will & Testament spinebuster for a near fall. Town Business would be blocked, with Wardlow looking for the F10. Neither man could get a move, before Wardlow hit the first powerbomb. Hobbs rolled to his feet, before taking a second.

Wardlow would set up the third – and would get greedy with the fourth. Joe would rush in with the ROH World Television Championship to the head of Wardlow, before choking what was left of Hobbs out – and would walk away with a championship on each shoulder.

Will Samoa Joe defend both belts at Final Battle? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
