Prince Harry Will Not Enjoy Living ‘In Exile In America For Very Much Longer’ – Says Simon Heffer
That is according to royal expert Simon Heffer. The Duke of Sussex ultimately made the decision to leave the Royal Family in 2020 alongside his wife, Meghan Markle. And as part of that process, they have managed to raise two children: Archie and Lilibet.
That has come with some catastrophic consequences with relations between the Sussexes and the firm being at an all-time low. This has been primarily on the basis of the couple’s controversial interviews with Oprah Winfrey and The Cut.
And the fact that Harry will still go ahead with his upcoming memoir, Spare, in the New Year, this has put himself in a position where the United States is the only possibility with the UK offering further backlash.
And that is something that Harry is not taking too well. In his comments, Simon said: “[Harry is not] enjoy living in exile in America for very much longer.”
With that being said, Harry has to be careful for the following reasons. First of all, it is even more paramount that his marriage with Meghan works out since his support from the firm appears to be dwindling.
Secondly, even if there was a chance that Harry does end up in the UK with or without Meghan, there is no guarantee that his brother Prince William will be able to brush things off.
Simon’s following comments confirmed as much: “[William may not] accept a reconciliation. The Prince of Wales is reported to be appalled at his brother’s general behaviour.”
Ultimately, it all depends on how damning Harry’s memoir ends up being towards the family. If he does disclose some very sensitive material, then it will tarnish his father, King Charles III, moving forward in light of his Coronation next year.
