Authorities report that the robber headed west on Fulton Street and was found shortly afterward. According Fresno PD Lt. Bill Dooley said of the arrest:
“Officers were in the area and, with the help of the bank tracker and his slow movement, were able to locate him on Fulton just north of Fresno Street.”
When police found the man, he was sitting on a bench not far from the bank and taking a rest. He was arrested and the money was returned to the Wells Fargo location. Authorities noted that the man has a lengthy criminal record but didn’t specify the charges or how far back the charges go.
