Von Wagner came close to winning the NXT Championship recently, and was offered to go partying with Malik Blade & Edris Enofe. He denied their request, and instead gave them an asskicking – and would tear the sweater vest of Blade. Blade had recently explained that he wears the vest in honour of his late father, making this a very personal attack. Tonight – he looks to get some revenge as he goes one on one with Wagner, size differences be damned.
Von Wagner Dominates Malik Blade
Blade wasted no time hitting the ring, with no backup tonight – punching Wagner into the corner. A scoop slam would set up a running elbow drop which missed. Blade would take the fight to the floor, before getting a roll up in the ring for a near fall.
He’d channel his power into a scoop slam on Wagner – before coming off the top with a frog splash, and catching two knees to the midsection. Blade would be taken up into a Death Valley Driver – and this match was over. Wagner wanted to keep the beating coming, but Edris Enofe & Odyssey Jones would make the save.
Shawn Michaels Announces 8 Entrants For Iron Survivor Challenge
Shawn Michaels has heard the arguments of his Hall of Fame panel – and is ready to announce the ten names who will compete in the Iron Survivor Challenge matches at NXT Deadline. The roster of NXT is stacked, and there was no wrong choices. However – after reviewing the past year of eight names were announced.
Shawn Michaels would announce that Carmelo Hayes, JD McDonagh, Grayson Waller & Joe Gacy will be in the mens match – with a fifth set to earn their spot in a Wildcard match on next weeks episode of NXT. Von Wagner, Axiom & Andre Chase get the chance to be in the field.
Meanwhile, Zoey Stark, Cora Jade, Roxanne Perez & Kiana James will be in the women’s match, and like the men – a fifth spot is open in a Wildcard match next week. Wendy Choo, Fallon Henley, Indi Hartwell will battle for that final spot. The winner of each match will earn a title shot – giving incentive to bring your best to NXT Deadline.
Nikkita Lyons Is Ready For Battle With Toxic Attraction
Earlier tonight, we were all ready for a trios match with Toxic Attraction taking on Katana Chance, Kayden Carter & Nikkita Lyons. On her way to the ring, Lyons would be cut down by her former tag team partner Zoey Stark, who went after the previously injured knee of Lyons. After a trip to the trainers room, Lyons would be cleared – and is even more fired up after Toxic Attraction laughed at her pain.
With some extra tape on her knee, Lyons would hit the ring – an instant target for her opponents. Jayne would kick things off with Chance, hitting some stiff shots before this one turned into an all out brawl. Toxic Attraction would be driven from the ring, with Chance & Carter hitting dives to keep the pressure on.
Rose would be tripped up by the reigning NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, with Carter holding her in place as Chance nailed a sliding dropkick. Dolin & Jayne would be able to isolate Carter in the Toxic Attraction corner, with Rose getting some stiff shots in. Spinebuster got a two count, before Carter got a sunset flip.
Never Bet Against Toxic Attraction
Chance would get the tag and hit the ring with haste, battling Dolin into the corner for a lariat. Dollin hit a backbreaker followed by a lariat, with Lyons breaking the pinfall up. Jayne kicked her in the bad knee, before an enziguri. Carter got the blind tag, with Chance kicking Dolin down before being thrown onto Dolin for a two count.
Superkick would set up the 450 Splash/Neckbreaker combo, with Jayne stopping this. Rose would look for Kissed By The Rose – but Chance avoided it. Janye got the tag, and Lyons would run her down before a suplex and the leg drop. Dolin broke the pinfall up with a superkick, before Chance was hit with the Kissed By The Rose on the floor. In the ring, Rose would get the attention of Lyons, allowing Jayne to hit a stiff forearm before Toxic Shock for the win.
