It’s been a rough tournament to be part of House of Torture, and Dick Togo & SHO have been elimated from the tournament. With Dick Togo known as The Spoiler, it’s fitting that’s the only role left for them to play. Tonight is interesting however, as they face the former tag team partner of SHO in YOH, who has formed an alliance with Lio Rush. They use the old Roppongi 3K finisher to win their matches, and SHO will know every possible counter to that move.
House of Torture Cheat Their Way To Speedy Victory
SHO & Togo would attack before the bell, with Yujiro Takahashi also helping out. YOH would be held in place for a cane shot to the ribs. In the ring, YOH & Rush would work together to nail the 3K on Togo – but there was no referee to count the pinfall. Rush would be choked out with a wrench at ringside, before EVIL pulled a referee to the ring to start the match.
YOH was basically out, and SHO would nail his former partner with Shock Arrow for the shortest match of the tournament. Obviously there is a massive asterisk by this victory, but a win is a win, and the official time is 18 seconds. This win doesn’t help SHO & Togo reach the finals, but does send a message.
EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi Fall Of Great-O-Khan & Aaron Henare
Last year during World Tag League, EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi found themselves in the finals against Bishamon – but this year, they risk elimination in the middle of the tournament. They’ve gone 0-4 in their matches, and a loss tonight will put them completely out of the conversation. Meanwhile, Great-O-Khan & Aaron Henare are still in the conversation, as they look for an all United Empire finals alongside Aussie Open.
EVIL & Takahashi were cocky in the ring after what they just caused – but Henare & O-Khan were not daunted. Infact, O-Khan came armed with a spear – putting fear in the hearts of his opponents. The referee forced O-Khan to put the weapon down, allowing EVIL & Takahashi to attack.
O-Khan was taken to the floor and driven into the timekeepers table. While the referee was distracted, SHO held Henare back for some strikes from Takahashi. EVIL tried to force the pinfall in the ring, but Henare refused to stay down. O-Khan hit the ring with some Mongolian Chops, before Takahashi would attack from behind – giving EVIL a chance to counter.
EVIL would still find himself flung to the mat and put into a Head & Arm Choke. He tried to block into an STO, but O-Khan blocked and hit one of his own. Henare & Takahashi would get tags, with Henare nailing a spinning heel kick. EVIL would try to help, only to take a stiff kick to the spine. Rising knee to Takahashi in the corner was followed by Berzerker Bomb.
Ultima would be applied on Takahashi, but a destruction from SHO allowed for a low blow. Referee would be dropped, and Gideon Gray hit a low blow on Takahashi. O-Khan would grab his spear and try to stab EVIL, but was blocked. Lowblow from Henare to EVIL followed, before Streets Of Rage for the finish.
