Under the wing of KUSHIDA – Kevin Knight has been able to level up in real time. He’s no longer a Young Lion, but even that came too late for them to have a chance to make the finals. Tonight, they will face a set of former champions in Flying Tiger – which gives them a chance to cap their tournament off with a signature win.
Kevin Knight Gets The Big Win He’s Been Wanting All Tour Long
KUSHIDA would opt to start alongside Robbie Eagles, with a sprawl for control on the mat – with Eagles winning out, going for an armbar. KUSHIDA would block into a side headlock, before looking to move into the Hoverboard Lock. Eagles would panic and scramble free – looking for the Ron Miller Special, but being kicked off.
Knight would get the tag, hitting some tight uppercuts, before Tiger Mask IV got the tag and would punish Knight with some quick but stiff kicks. KUSHIDA tried to make the save, but was dropped by a dropkick from Eagles as Tiger applied a double armbar. Eagles would get the tag and focus on the knee, trying to take away the speed of Knight.
Knight would be able to leap over Eagles and roll into a tag to KUSHIDA, who ran Eagles down with a running crossbody splash. Shotei Palm Strike in the corner would land, before Eagles got a two count off a roll up. They’d trade kicks in the middle of the ring, with KUSHIDA winning out after a kick to the arm.
Eagles was hit with the Timesplitter Combo before a twisting splash from Knight. Leaping DDT would be blocked, with Knight being sent to the mat for a sliding forearm smash. Double sidewalk slam from Flying Tiger would get a two count, with KUSHIDA making the save and being cut down with kicks.
Tiger would lock in the double armbar, but KUSHIDA again made the save. Knight would hit a sliding elbow smash, getting a two count. He’d nail the dropkick, before the leaping DDT for the finish. This is the big win Knight needed to truly prove he’s graduated – and pinning a legend like Tiger Mask is huge.
Wild Hips Have Had A Very Fun Tour
Wild Hips will have no chance to get into the finals, but they can look back on a fantastic tour of beers and butt stuff. They had fun – and got a few wins along the way. The same can’t be said about House of Torture, who have had a miserable tournament – losing the bulk of their matches, and perhaps making SHO realize that he was better off before BULLET CLUB. A loss tonight could be more than just points for House of Torture because of that.
On his way to the ring in his hometown, SHO was met with “GO HOME SHO” signs – instantly putting him in a bad mood. Wild Hips meanwhile shared some beers, starting off their last match like all the rest they’ve had in this tournament. SHO would ruin the fun, before being run down with a shoulder tackle.
Taguchi would be thrown into the SHO & Togo with hip attacks, before SHO was to be thrown right into the ass of Taguchi – but countered to ensure Connors took the stink face before some punches to the ass. House of Torture took this brawl to the floor, with SHO throwing Connors into a wall.
Taguchi Unleashes Drunken Fist Style
Connors would barely make the ring by the count of twenty, with Togo keeping the pressure on as he rolled into the ring. SHO would stomp the hand of Connors, firing Connors up for a spear. Togo got the tag alongside Taguchi taking the B-Triggers before the rising hip attack. Three Amigos would follow, getting Taguchi a near fall. The referee would be taken out, with EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi hitting the ring.
Taguchi would get some liquid courage, and use a Drunken Fist style to cut the faction down. SHO was hit with a jumping enziguri, before a snap German Suplex for a near fall. Connors & Taguchi would pull their trunks down and hit bodyslams in tandem, before the two bare assed pinfalls. Togo would manage to choke Taguchi before SHO hit him with the wrench, before Shock Arrow for the finish.
