It’s time for the fourth match in the Best of Seven series between Death Triangle and the Elite, with Death Triangle in the lead with a 2-1 record. Omega was able to stop the cheating ways of the trio and plant Fenix with the One Winged Angel in the last match – and will look to lead The Young Bucks into tying the score up here tonight. Whoever comes out of this series as the winner will also walk away with the AEW World Trios Championships, putting them at the helm of the hottest trios division in the world.
The Elite Lose One Member To Potential Injury
This one would be able to start in the ring unlike the last match – with Nick kicking things off with Penta. Nick would have none of the taunting from Penta, before both men would showcase their agility – with Penta sent across the ring with an arm drag. Fenix got a tag and was dropped in The Elite corner, taking a leg drop to the back.
PAC would tag in and was hit with an Elevated Kotoro Crusher, with The Elite knowing to attack the broken nose from earlier in the series. A backbreaker would be mixed with a diving elbow drop, before The Elite would hit a series of dives to the floor. Nick would hurt his ankle along the way, putting The Elite at a handicap tonight.
PAC would remain isolated by Omega as Matt & Brandon Cutler would check out the ankle of Nick, before Doc Sampson would get involved. Matt would hit the ring alongside PAC before taking a kick to the head by Fenix. A German Suplex from PAC would follow, before a standing German Suplex.
Fenix would dive onto Omega on the floor, as Nick Jackson was taken to the back. Now three on two, Death Triangle would gain control of the match. A Death Triangle dropkick would hit Matt from three different angles, making it impossible to properly block. Taking their time to pick Matt apart, Death Triangle seemed sure they wouldn’t see Nick again tonight.
Nick Jackson Makes Heroes Return, Falls To Hammer Shot To Ankle
Matt would be able to hit a series of Northern Lights Suplexes to Fenix, before catching Penta as well. Omega would get the tag, coming down off the top rope with a crossbody on PAC. Polish Hammer would be avoided, before the Rolling Fireman’s Carry into Springboard Moonsault for a two count.
Penta would take a snap dragon suplex, before an enziguri to PAC and a suplex to Fenix. Looking for the Terminator Dive, Omega would be tripped up by PAC before a slingshot cutter. Omega attempted a German Suplex, but PAC would land on his feet – before a brainbuster would land.
Penta would take out Matt on the apron with the Fear Factor Piledriver, before Lucha Bros would pick Omega apart in the ring to set up Made In Japan and an inverted Frog Splash for a two count. PAC would look for Black Arrow, but Omega avoided as Nick limped back to the ring.
Omega made the tag, and Nick would stay grounded with some heavy strikes – only leaving his feet to catch Fenix with a cutter out of the air. Fenix caught a superkick, and behind the back of the referee – Penta nailed the injured ankle with the bell hammer. Fenix would apply an inverted kneebar, forcing Nick to tap out.
The Elite are down 3-1 now, and another loss will lose the series for them. Omega would up the stakes for Match #5 – just making the hammer legal… and all weapons in generally. Will this approach work for The Elite? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
