Sometimes, fleeing from the law in Texas and heading over to Oklahoma just isn’t the play as Ricky Roman Spencer (30) found out. Dating back to 2010, Spencer committed a number of violent crimes.
Oklahoma Man Fleeing the Law in Texas Finally Apprehended – Hit with a Number of Felony Charges
Among those crimes are burglary as well as assault and battery. He was being pursued by the Mesquite PD for murder at the start of December 2022. A native of Oklahoma, he returned to the state where he was captured at a Mcdonald’s by the Oklahoma City PD—working with U.S Marshals—on December 8, 2022.
At the time of his arrest, Spencer had an outstanding warrant in Oklahoma County for two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon as well as a felony count for discharging firearms in a public place. So, while Oklahoma may have been the closest state to flee, it wasn’t the wisest play since the law was already looking for him on felony charges.
Authorities are currently holding Ricky Roman Spencer without bond for fleeing to avoid Dallas County.
