Two Texas Teens Charged with Aggravated Robbery in Lubbock
The four were supposed to leave his apartment on September 16 and when he came back that evening, he found that all of his belongings had been moved into the suspects’ car. Hottinger approached them about stealing his stuff and recorded the incident with his phone.
At that time, David Lopez Jr (17) began arguing with Hottinger. After a moment, he went to his car and returned with a pistol and—according to Hottinger—pointed the gun at him. Perhaps sensing that the situation was escalating, the four suspects fled the residence. Hottinger headed elsewhere for safety reasons and called the police.
Lopez and suspect Bailey Forrest (17) were arrested and later indicted by a grand jury for aggravated robbery. The two remain jailed at the Lubbock County Detention Center. They are expected to be sentenced at a later time.
