Like always with the good, bad must come. This week of AEW Dark was solid for the most part, but there are some things that did not click with me or could’ve been improved upon. Here are some of my thoughts on the bad parts of AEW Dark this week.
The Bad Parts of AEW Dark
I know that everyone is high on newcomer, Action Andretti, but I wasn’t too impressed with what I saw. It was not because he isn’t good, it’s because he isn’t very different from what they currently have.
He does have a good look to him and if AEW play their cards right with him, he could be pretty big. If you have seen Dante Martin in action, you’ve seen a better version of Action Andretti.
From the limited amount of Andretti that I have seen, he is alright. I think that the best thing that he could do is make another heel. I haven’t heard him talk on the mic but I could see an Action Andretti vs Ethan Page feud doing well.
I wonder did Julia Hart come up with that promo on her own or did someone help her with it. Either way, I don’t think that it matched with what I think her character is. I could be wrong on my end but the short promo was not good. I think that it was more her tone and delivery than what she said.
Is it just me, or is Parker Boudreux just not working at all? He seems severely miscast in his role with the Trustbusters and add nothing to the group. He constantly does this strange screaming thing after EVERY move that he does that don’t look natural at all.
It might not be something that he would want to do, but I think that he has the look like a rich frat boy. I think that would fit his mannerisms in the ring perfectly. It would be something that he could do until he finds himself in ring and personality wise.
I had no problem with him, but the response that Jeff Jarrett got during his promo wasn’t just heel heat, it was bad. Very bad. I think that it is safe to say going into 2023, that nobody wants to see him on their television.
