When Pinellas County deputies found the Camaro, Francine Mashtare (55) was arrested and hit with a DUI manslaughter charge. After posting $20,000 bail, she was released from jail. Of course, the investigation into Rothwell’s death turned up an interesting revelation.
The passenger in the vehicle when deputies arrived—Adam Wayne Garabrant (60)—was the actual driver on December 16, 2021. A video obtained from the Liquid Therapy Bar moments before the crash occurred shows Garabrant driving the red Camaro. Investigators would later get testimony that Garabrant admitted to being the actual drive to that very same bar’s owner.
Adam Wayne Garabrant was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death. He was released after posting $50,000 bail. Mashtare’s charge was amended to driving under the influence.
