The man suffered from blunt force trauma as a result and was found dead in his apartment days later during a welfare check. This saw the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force to look into the death. Ok December 12, the U.S Marshals Service added Sheppard to its Fugitive of the Week.
Authorities were eventually led to Sheppard and arrested him on December 21, 2022. Pete Elliott of the U.S Marshals said of the arrest:
“The violence perpetrated by offenders such as this will not be tolerated by our community members, or our law enforcement partners. We will work together with both to ensure that those who commit violence are removed from the community as quick as possible.”
No date has been set for Sheppard’s court appearance.
