She shared a collection of clips from the festive season, as the couple had been in an on-again-off-again relationship until the singer’s untimely death last month at the age of 34.
Melanie cradled her and Aaron’s 13-month-old child Prince and directed a beaming smile towards the camera. The post was captioned by the following comments: “We can no longer see you with our eyes but we can feel you in our heart forever.
“Love your mini me and hunni.” At the beginning of this month, Melanie regained complete legal guardianship of Prince, who is just over a year old.
When Prince was still a baby, he was under the care of Melanie’s mother and Carter had the privilege of seeing him with supervision.
So now that Aaron is no longer, Melanie admitted that she would be doing her best for Prince, something which Aaron would have supported. In her comments at the time, she remarked: “I’m honouring Aaron today and I know he would be so proud of me.
“I’m very emotional thinking we could have been a family, but Aaron would be so happy knowing I got him back.” The fans on social media had a lot to say. Large numbers of people came out in droves in order to wish Melanie very well.
And in the process of doing so, there were some bittersweet comments as the happy moment was clouded by the fact that Aaron was no longer there.
One person wrote: “I wonder if Prince wonders where his daddy has disappeared to? Sending you so much love,” while another person stated: “Prince resembles Aaron so much, like a part of him still lives on.”
