A Texas flight attendant has pleaded guilty to drug trafficking in California after being caught in early 2022. Terese White (41) had some degree of freedom and flexibility in her position and used that flexibility in an attempt to smuggle fentanyl from San Diego to Boston.

At the time, White was off the clock and tried to use her “Known Crew Member” privileges with three pounds of fentanyl taped to her stomach. The “Known Crew Member” line is just as it sounds: employees or staff get expedited through the screening process.
However, White was moved to the regular screening line where TSA discovered the drugs. According to the TSA, White claimed that the packages weren’t drugs and was a mercury pack for weigh loss. Obviously, the TSA weren’t buying it.
Terese White pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute in October 2022. DEA Special Agent in Charge Shelly Howe said of White’s arrest:
“Drug traffickers use air, land and sea for personal gain, putting people’s lives in danger. We will continue the great work with our partners to bring traffickers to justice and keep our community safe.”
White is scheduled to be sentenced on March 24, 2023.
