Rapper Flo Rida was recently awarded a massive settlement against energy drink company Celsius to the tune of $82 million. The lawsuit dates back to Flo Rida helping the company in 2014 and continuing to be involved with it.
Flo Rida Wins $82 MILLION Lawsuit Against Energy Drink Manufacturer Celsius
Originally, the “Wild Ones” artist stated he was only owed $30,000 by Celsius for a breach of contract. The thing is that Flo Rida became a bigger star at that time and he claimed that Celsius’ growth was tied to his popularity.
Basically, the price went up and scaled accordingly. Not only that but the working agreement simply continued after Flo Rida’s initial involvement. The company hit sales milestones and Flo Rida’s cut was expected to be larger as a result. Celsius argued that the agreement ended way earlier but the Platinum-selling artist said that it never ended and he was entitled to what was owed.
Obviously, Flo Rida and his legal team were elated with the decision as it was found that Celsius definitely owed the rapper for his endorsement of the brand.
