In Mississauga, Ontario, the Corhamzic brothers were found guilty in a 2018 road rage incident that made national headlines. The incident occurred on July 15, 2018 when Mohammad Abu-Marzouk was backing out of the parking lot of the Mississauga Valley Community Centre and Library. Earlier, he had been enjoying an outing at the park with his family.

According to his brother, as he was backing out, Abu-Marzouk accidentally hit a passing car sparking the confrontation. He heard banging on the rear of his vehicle as well as yelling and racial slurs being thrown. Mohammad got out to check and slapped by Yanis Corhamzic who continued yelling.
When bystander Fuat Yucel stepped in to break up the dispute and was attack by both brothers. When he fell unconscious after hitting the ground, the Corhamzic brother began attacking Abu-Marzouk. Both Abu-Marzouk and Yucel went to the hospital for treatment with Abu-Marzouk suffering from a brain hemorrhage, bruises, and fractures.
The brothers avoided the attempted murder charge as Superior Court Judge Fletcher Brown didn’t feel that the Corhamzic brothers were intentionally trying to kill the victim. However, they definitely attempted to injure and maim both men and were found guilty of assault.
