Prince Harry Has To Own Up To His Mistakes-‘Take Accountability,’ Says Paul Burrell
That is according to former royal butler Paul Burrell. This claim arrived in response to the Duke of Sussex’s memoir, Spare, where Harry made several damning claims against his family.
Specifically, Harry did not hold back on Prince William by claiming his brother had assaulted him. This is on top of suggestions that William and Kate Middleton had a part to play in him wearing the infamous Nazi uniform.
But the narrative for blaming everyone but himself has not gone down well with Burrell. In his comments, he said: “On many levels Harry seems to be mixed up because at one moment he’s saying that Camilla sacrificed him on her PR altar.
“Well, Harry, what have you done to the people whom you’ve talked about in your book? You’ve sacrificed them on your PR altar.” Those comments do hold some weight due to the following reasons.
First of all, Harry accused the firm of leaking stories to the press about him and Meghan. His book, however, is very frank in nature too.
Secondly, the only way to resolve things moving forward would be to hold discussions behind closed doors. It has already been shown that airing these grievances in public is not helping to create a reconciliation.
But that can only happen if Harry takes responsibility. Paul’s following comments confirmed as much: “It’s all she did this, he did that. He needs to take accountability for the part he has played and the stress he has caused his family.”
The response on social media was much the same. This was on the basis that the firm had taken steps to integrate the Sussexes, such as inviting the pair to King Charles III’s Coronation.
One person wrote: “What? The pair who think they can do no wrong? Time Harry grew up and took responsibility for his loose tongue and stupidity.”
