The WWE has made it a practice to have surprise guests at their events dating back to the very first WrestleMania, and we expect nothing different this year as “WrestleMania Goes Hollywood”.
What’s got fans talking this year isn’t about celebrity guests, but which WWE star will appear. There’s a long list of fan favorites we’d all like to see like Steve Austin, the Rock, and so on.
The Rock and Randy Orton Top Odds Makers Choices as Surprise WrestleMania 39 Appearances
But there’s been a rumor out the last couple of weeks that says Randy Orton is scheduled to appear, but whether or not he’ll wrestle is a different story.
He’s been out of action since May 2022 following a back injury and reports said the injury was severe enough that it could’ve cost him his career.
Another star that’s been reported to appear is Big E, and that would be great as he begins the process of possibly returning to the WWE in some capacity.
The odds on favorites
Special thanks to Brett Bodzinski for sharing it with us.
Bookies.com listed their favorites to appear, with the top five being the usual suspects.
The Rock tops the list at 66.7% and Ric Flair rounds out the list with a 7.7% chance of a surprise appearance.
What’s interesting about this list is right in the middle is Vince McMahon at a 40% chance. It was recently reported that McMahon is going to be at WrestleMania, which is to be expected since he owns the company.
While it’s never safe to say McMahon won’t appear or have his own plans, it seems unlikely he’ll appear on camera. He’s supposed to come back only to facilitate the sale of the company, so we’ll see how it all works out.
The Rock was originally speculated to face Roman Reigns to end the Tribal Chief’s run, but due to his schedule the Rock said he wasn’t able to get into ring shape.
That left Reigns to face Cody Rhodes for at least one of the world titles in one of the main events.
Steve Austin is another possibility as he was rumored to appear in a match, but he nixed that idea. It’s still possible he’ll make an appearance in a backstage segment with the Rock and maybe even Triple H in a reunion of sorts.
There are plenty of possibilities on who could surprise us and we’ve learned to never say never when it comes to what’s on tap for a WWE event.
