Sammy Guevara is one of three men gunning for a shot at MJF at Double or Nothing 2023. One of the four pillars of AEW, Guevara has found a lot of singles title success – being a three time TNT Champion.

Tonight, he looks to remind everyone why he once called himself the Best Ever – as he faces one of the greatest luchadores around today in Komander.

Making his debut during the Face of the Revolution Ladder match, Komander’s rope walking skills have gained him fan recognition – and tonight, he could prove that he belongs in the AEW World Championship hunt more than Guevara down.

Guevara would hit the ring while Perry & MJF brawled – and held the AEW World Championship high – perhaps signalling the future.

Sammy Guevara Matches The Speed Of Komander In Big Time Singles Match

Guevara would catch Komander with a jumping knee as this match began, sending Komander to the floor. Komander tried to outpace Guevara, with Guevara able to duck a slide and hit the springboard moonsault.

Guevara was caught coming off the top rope with a superkick, before Komander hit a rope walk Shooting Star Press for a two count.

Komander would walk across the ring ropes into another dive on Guevara, but was cut from the sky with a jumping knee smash.

Guevara would drive Komander into the barricades, before some stiff elbow smashes in the ring. A delayed vertical suplex was blocked by Komander, who hit a poisonrana for the two count.

Once again, Komander had a chance to walk the tight rope, nailing a twisting plancha and crashing onto Guevara.

Rope Walk Shooting Star Press was avoided on the second attempt, and outright blocked on the third attempt with double knees. GTH would be blocked into a Small Package, getting a two count.

Guevara & Komander would take their battle to the ropes, with Komander dropped with a cutter and the GTH for the dominant victory.

Combined with his recent Rampage win over Konosuke Takeshita, Guevara is proving himself with wins over great talents – presenting an amazing case for a title shot against MJF.

He’d claim that when MJF ‘beat’ him, it was due to Shawn Spears and a steel chair. If MJF is a pillar, it’s because others built him up.

He was Cody’s friend, Tony’s friend, a member of three factions, and just overall sold his soul to be a pillar of AEW. Guevara meanwhile built his pillar brick by brick, match by match – something MJF could never do.

HOOK Gets Aid From Matt Hardy To Defeat Ethan Page

HOOK has been a thorn in the side of The Firm for a while now, taking down Lee Moriarty, Matt Hardy, and most recently Stokely Hathaway as he defended the FTW Championship.

Unable to find a way to drop the Cold Hearted Handsome Devil, The Firm now looks to it’s leader for revenge.

Ethan Page is by far the biggest threat that HOOK has ever faced in his professional wrestling career, being a potential main event star for AEW. Tonight, he looks to push HOOK past his limits – and become the new FTW Champion in the process.

Page would waste some time talking as this match began, walking right into a T-Bone Suplex. HOOK would follow Page to the floor, and was driven into the apron and ring post.

Back in the ring, Page would call for the Twist Of Fate – with HOOK able to counter the Matt Hardy finisher, before hitting it himself.

Isaiah Kassidy tried to distract the referee as Page tried to use the FTW Championship. Hardy would stop him, and hit Page in the face instead.

HOOK would apply Redrum, and choked Page out to remain the FTW Championship as Hardy led the crowd in a Delete chant.

AEW All In Set For UK Debut In Wembley Stadium

During the media call for Ring of Honor: Supercard of Honor, Tony Khan would mention that he had a big announcement planned for AEW Dynamite.

He would describe it as something he’s dreamed about for years now, and that it could well change the landscape of professional wrestling.

Fans have learned to temper their expectations when Khan has an announcement to make, but always listen intently at the same time.

With Nigel McGuiness by his side, Khan had a major announcement. Five years ago, four pioneers put on a show called All In – and got interest from around the world.

Now, AEW is going to make their debut in London, England on Sunday, August 27th – for the first ever AEW All In PPV event.

With London Wembley Stadium as the venue – this is set to be a massive event, the biggest show in AEW’s history. With 90k seats, this venue played host to WWE Summerslam ’92 – and now AEW gets to write a chapter in the venues history.

Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world.
