The Jericho Appreciation Society were deadset on bringing The Acclaimed into their ranks. They’re natural sports entertainers after all. However, The Acclaimed would refuse to join the group.
This left Matt Mendard & Angelo Parker heartbroken – and tonight, they all come to blows. Each tag team has brought along a proper heavyweight, with Caster & Bowens of course bringing Daddy Ass himself Billy Gunn.
Menard & Parker have Jake Hager to back them up – and we have a huge trios match incoming. If The Acclaimed & Gunn lose – they are forced to join the J.A.S until Double Or Nothing.
The Acclaimed Shut The Jericho Appreciation Society Down
J.A.S would attack as soon as The Acclaimed hit the ring. The Acclaimed would be able to gain control of the match, with Caster & Bowens focusing on Parker – hitting Scissor Me Timbers. They’d scissor with Daddy Ass, before Caster hit a picture perfect dropkick to the chest of Parker.
Hager would get the tag, beating down Caster before Menard hit a running knee strike to the face. Caster was able to block a Hager Bomb – and completed the tag to the legend Billy Gunn. Hager would avoid a Fame Asser, and was able to slam Gunn into the mat for a two count.
Menard & Bowens would get tags and traded blows in the middle of the ring – and Parker would hit a loaded punch from ringside. Bowens was able to kick out, and the next punch would catch Hager instead. Gunn would disarm Parker, before a rolling elbow would signal the end. The Arrival & Mic Drop would follow – and The Acclaimed get the win.
Jack Perry Looks To Start His Path To Singles Gold
There are three men who wanted shots at MJF’s AEW World Championship at Double Or Nothing – those being Jack Perry, Sammy Guevara & Darby Allin. In order to sort out the chaos – MJF & Tony Khan had a plan.
The Four Pillars tournament is here, and with Darby Allin getting a lucky first round bye – it’s Sammy Guevara & Jack Perry in the main event here tonight. The winner faces Darby Allin next week, and that will decide who gets MJF at the next AEW PPV.
Perry would quickly send Guevara out to the floor, hitting a quick dive. Guevara would quickly respond with one of his own – before taking a hurricanrana off the apron. Back into the ring, Guevara would hit a top rope Spanish Fly – but was unable to follow up with a pinfall. Perry & Guevara would brawl on the apron, with Perry nailing a superkick before jumping into a rising knee strike.
This brawl would head to ringside, where Perry was driven into the barricade before being rolled back into the ring. Perry would take a series of chops in the corner, before firing back with some big elbow smashes. Guevara tossed Perry into the corner, only to be wiped out with the Comebacker Lariat.
Sammy Guevara Made A Deal With The Devil
Perry would hit a flying Canadian Destroyer, able to score a two count after impact. Guevara would fire back with the Sammy Cutter, before an Implant DDT for a near fall. GTH would be blocked into a Poisonrana, but Guevara avoided the sliding elbow smash. Guevara would hit a Poisonrana of his own, but Perry rolled to his feet and hit the sliding elbow smash.
Snare Trap would be applied – and Guevara would quickly get the bottom rope. Guevara would be set up on the top rope, only for Perry to be kicked off to the floor – crashing through the timekeepers table.
MJF would come and punch Perry out with the Dynamite Diamond Ring. He had promised to carry Guevara to the finals of the tournament, and this would cause a countout victory.
Guevara moves onto face Darby Allin next week, and the winner will face MJF at Double or Nothing. Will we see Perry dispute this loss to Guevara? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
