‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to kick off a new week with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
There are some interesting angles coming in this episode and it’s going to be fun seeing how it’ll all work out once the dust settled.
Let’s dig into some spoilers!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, June 26: Dire straights
With Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Alison Lanier)’s marriage on the rocks and hanging on by a thread, there’s going to be another obstacle thrown in their way.
Of course, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) is going to interject herself into the situation as she’ll offer Kyle something more than a shoulder to cry on.
It’ll play into Kyle’s habit of running away to another woman when things in his marriages get complicated, and “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers have a feeling it’s also meant to turn Summer into a victim to gain sympathy.
While she fell into her mom’s psychosis, Summer is anything but a victim. Like Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she had a choice to make and she made it. That doesn’t make them victims and it shouldn’t.
But we have a feeling this is the way things are going to slant, so it should be interesting to watch play out.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, June 26: Diane returns to her old ways
We’re not sold on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) going back to her dark side and this feels more like a hard sale on something that’ll be benign like she’ll lie to Kyle in an effort to help Summer patch things up with him.
Given how nerves and emotions are raw in the Abbott household, anything that happens could easily be taken the wrong way and escalate into something more.
But there is a reason to explain why she could dip into her old ways, and it may be Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)’s fault. At least, in part.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, June 26: Jack’s decision
This is where we think Diane could be pushed if she feels betrayed, and it’ll stem from Jack and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) agreeing to a peace of sorts between them.
We think Jack will decide not to hire Diane at Jabot as they planned because of that peace, and Diane will either think Jack’s turning on her or Ashley fooled him and she’s up to something on her own.
So, Diane could start plotting to thwart Ashley as the two switch roles in what feels like one of the more pointless ideas in a while and we’re hoping we’re wrong.
Do you think Jack will set Diane off? Let us know in the comments below and check back with “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
