Julia Hart has become a forboding name in AEW. Running with The House of Black, she is someone to be feared – despite her rookie status in the ring. Possessing a mean streak like few others, Hart has been out of the ring since a brutal No Holds Barred victory earlier this year. Tonight, she makes her in-ring debut on AEW Collision.
Julia Hart Continues Hot Streak, Andrade Wants His Mask Back
Bambi Hall would be her opponent – a local second generation wrestler. Hart would have a cold stare as this match began, and was unable to outpower Bambi. A stiff shoulder tackle would follow, before Hart found her footing with a big elbow strike.
Bambi would fire back with more strikes before being cut down with a chop block. Hartless Lock would be applied, and Bambi had choice but to tap out. That makes 24 victories in a row for Hart in AEW, and both the AEW Women’s & TBS Champions better watch this streak very closely.
After the bell, House of Black would address Andrade El Idolo. They recently stole his entrance mask, and Malakai Black would say he is doing Andrade a favour. Andrade became a better wrestler when he took his mask off, leaving La Sombra in the past.
However, Andrade claims that his mask is about his family, his culture and his country. The mask is everything to a luchador – and he puts it on for business. When he takes it off, it’s time to win – and if Black enters the ring with Andrade, he’ll understand that.
FTR Are In The Crosshairs Of Bullet Club Gold
After FTR turned away the challenge of Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal, they would be sucked into the feud between Ricky Starks & Bullet Club Gold. Having saved Starks from a beatdown at the hands of Jay White & Juice Robinson, they would be put directly in their crosshairs.
Since forming Bullet Club Gold, they have claimed no gold – but tonight, have a chance to earn a shot to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Adding to the stakes, a loss here means White & Robinson won’t be allowed to challenge until FTR loses their belts.
Harwood would start with White, quickly taking him to the mat with a side headlock takeover. White would slip free and hide in the ropes – using them to safely get to a tag to Robinson – slowing the match down and giving a fresh start with Robinson & Wheeler. Wheeler would send Robinson to the floor with a Monkey Flip, but Robinson would linger on the mat – slowing down the pace.
FTR would call BCG into the ring for a brawl, and were able to win out with a set of German Suplexes. Harwood would catch White again, and hit some heavy strikes in the corner.
Robinson would drive Harwood hard into the corner, prompting a tag to Wheeler. BCG would quickly isolate Wheeler, cutting the ring in half – with White attacking the ribs with a tight rear waist lock.
No One Intends To Give Up Easily
White would show his technical skills by applying a Muta Lock – with Harwood coming in and chopping the chest. Harwood was taken to the floor and thrown into the barricade by White, and Wheeler remained in danger in the ring. Bladebuster would be blocked into a roll up by Wheeler, but the referee missed the pinfall until White kicked out.
Wheeler would be able to block a Saito Suplex and hit a crossbody, giving the opening for a tag. Robinson would get onto the apron to distract Harwood – allowing White to take him off the apron.
Wheeler would throw strikes at both members of BCG, sending Robinson to the floor before being dropped by White – and sent to the floor.
White would be patient, knowing a count out gets the title shot – and assuring he kept the high ground to attack Wheeler as he crawled into the ring. Robinson would get the tag and hit a hard back elbow to the face, before being dropped with a big Belly to Belly Suplex. Harwood would finally get the tag, and got a quick Small Package for a near fall.
White would block a vertical suplex, before falling to a German Suplex. A Superplex would be set up by Harwood, with Robinson saving White with a headbutt. Wheeler would go after Robinson on the apron, hitting a backdrop. White & Harwood would effectively end up in a singles situation, and Harwood would look for the Superplex again.
Jay White & Juice Robinson Outsmart FTR
Wheeler would recover faster than expected for the Powerplex – hitting the splash after the superplex, only for White to kick out at 2.9 FTR would go for the Big Rig, but was stopped by BCG. Wheeler would work with Harwood to set up the Mindbreaker Piledriver in the corner, but Robinson again made the tag. JuiceBox would set up the RegalPlex – getting White a near fall.
Harwood would hit a Rebound Powerbomb, but it was another near fall. Sliding Elbow Smash – and White again hung on. White was showing why he was such a big get for AEW with his toughness – and would catch Wheeler with a fast Blade Runner. Few men recover from that move, and Harwood was officially alone.
He’d trade strikes with White in the middle of the ring, taking a basement dropkick. Harwood missed a tag to Robinson, and rolled up White thinking he had the right man.
Robinson hit a Modified DDT, and Wheeler was unable to make the save. Bullet Club Gold is one step closer to gold. They’d call for Two Out Of Three Falls next week in Calgary – ensuring whoever wins is the best tag team in the world today. This will come as part of Battle Of The Belts, making that special must see.
