Last week, we saw the Jericho Appreciation Society crumble – as everyone left Jericho behind after his recent alignment with Don Callis.
Left alone for the first time in his AEW career, the offer to join the Don Callis family is now more important than ever. Jericho had made up his mind last week, but gave himself a week to think on it before making anything official. Tonight, we get that answer – and potentially a look at the future of Chris Jericho.
Chris Jericho Knows When Don Callis Is Lying
Hitting the ring and drowning out the negative reception for Callis using his theme song, Jericho had a confident look on his face.
Callis spoke about betrayal, and both have felt it recently. Kenny Omega betrayed Callis when he chose The Elite over Callis, and the Jericho Appreciation Society betrayed Jericho last week.
However, Chris Jericho doesn’t join factions – he creates them. So his answer for Callis is shockingly – yes. When his faction walked out on him, Jericho realised that he needs to go back to his roots, and align with a man that can go as low as Jericho can. This will get him back to the AEW World Heavyweight Championship.
There was a covered picture in the corner of the ring, and Jericho would pull the cover off – with it showing a painting of Callis holding the head of Jericho.
Callis was intending for Jericho to say no, and have this be a declaration of war on Jericho. If Jericho said no, he’d have him assassinated. He’d try to explain the artist messed up, but Jericho knows when Callis is lying.
Enter The Aerial Assassin
Jericho would ask for Callis to tell the truth – and he would admit that he didn’t think Jericho would say yes to him. He thought Jericho would say no because of his massive ego, because his career has always been about himself. Callis would say that Jericho doesn’t deserve to be part of the Don Callis Family because of this.
Three years ago, Jericho pulled Callis back into the professional wrestling industry – and still no one cares about him. He’s messed up every personal relationship he’s ever had, because he’s a lowlife asshole.
Callis would slap Jericho, and Jericho would try to choke him out. Takeshita would come to the aid of Callis, before being dropped by Will Ospreay.
The man who defeated Kenny Omega at Forbidden Door – the Aerial Assassin -Will Ospreay is aligned with Don Callis. A steel chair to the skull would follow, and Jericho was a broken man already – before the picture was smashed over the head of Jericho. Sammy Guevara would rush to the ring to make the save, and Jericho has one ally left in AEW.
Sting Is In Full Joker Mode Ahead Of All In
Nick Wayne is looking for revenge against the Mogul Embassy, and tonight has a chance to get a step closer to Swerve Strickland & AR Fox.
Teaming up with one of his mentors in Darby Allin, they face down the Gates of Agony, with Kaun & Toa Liona standing in their way. Being two thirds of the ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions, it’s hard to deny their skills – and it could be a big problem for Allin & Wayne tonight.
Before even completing their entrance, Allin & Wayne were attacked from behind by Gates of Agony. A brawl on the floor would suit the brawlers, enabling Liona & Kaun to start in control – as Swerve & Fox watched from the floor.
Wayne would be taken into the ring and mauled by Liona & Kaun – who hit a Double Chokeslam. Allin would get the much needed tag, and with the assist from Wayne hit a Crucifix Bomb for a near fall.
Kaun would take Wayne’s World, before Allin finished him with a Coffin Drop for the win. They came back from behind and won quickly – and were ready to fight Fox & Swerve as needed.
Using the belt & skateboard, they kept Gates of Agony away as Sting would appear on the screen. He would warn Fox to have eyes in the back of his head, because there’s a Coffin Match for All In set.
Sting had abducted Prince Nana, and was channelling his Joker Sting persona – scaring Nana half to death in the process. Who will score the win at All In? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
