Segment 1: After a quick Black Lives Matter reminder to begin the show, the opening contest sees Hangman Page and Kenny Omega defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships against the Superbad Death Squad, Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havoc. It was a lengthy hard-fought match as you’d expect, in the end Page and Omega’s Buckshot/V-Trigger combo now known as the Last Call got the victory.
Segment 2: No. 1 Contender to Jon Moxley’s AEW World Championship Brian Cage came out for another tune-up match, quickly decimating Shawn Dean. Afterwards Taz calls out Jon Moxley for daring to laugh as he was making his threats last week. Moxley makes his way out to explain the reason he was smiling is because the idea of Cage bringing the intensity and aggression into a war with him makes him happy, it’s what he lives for. But he makes it clear that a title match with him is the furthest thing from a game.
Segment 3: Lance Archer warns the roster that when he says everybody dies he truly means everybody. Matt Hardy comes up to Private Party and makes it clear he wants to be a mentor figure to them, Kassidy suggests they become the Hardy Party! We also hear that Fyter Fest will be a two week event aired on the usual TNT timeslot this year!
Segment 4: Chris Jericho took on and defeated Colt Cabana in a solid match. Afterwards Jericho cut a promo on Mike Tyson and repeatedly demanded that the Baddest Man On The Planet come out. Finally, Orange Cassidy answered the call. He avoided attacks from Jericho and Hager and escaped to the crowd area with his friends.
Segment 5: Nyla Rose took on and defeated Big Swole in a hard-hitting match. Afterwards, Swole got in an argument with Britt Baker and took up a chair to get her to rush off.
Segment 6: We see an interview with FTR, talking about their dream matches and what a bout with the Bucks mean to them when the Butcher and the Blade interrupt and the two teams have to be kept apart. Brodie Lee tries to recruit Colt Cabana into the Dark Order.
Segment 7: In the main event, which turned out to be surprisingly bloody and violent, Cody defeated Jungleboy to mark his first defense of the TNT Championship!
