Another Monday brings us another episode of WWE Raw. You will be able to see the live results of the show as they come below, plus links to in-depth recaps. Watch this space!
Segment 1: To kick off the show, we were supposed to see Asuka take on Charlotte Flair in a rematch from a few weeks ago only for Sasha Banks and Bayley to appear and rub their recent Women’s tag title victory in their faces. The IIconics interrupt to promise to take those very titles at Backlash on Sunday. The segment breaks down into a big brawl, Asuka and Charlotte clear the ring.
Segment 2: An impromptu triple threat tag team match between the six women in the opening segment broke out. Charlotte and Asuka ended up getting the win, with Asuka tagging herself in when Charlotte did not expect it and getting the submission with an Asukalock. Afterwards, Charlotte attacked Asuka.
Segment 3: Rey Mysterio has a message on his progress, saying his eye is healing nicely and he expects to be cleared soon. Seth Rollins continued to talk about the sacrifice that he made him have and invited Rey and Dominick to Raw next week. He continued running down Rey until Aleister Black jumped him. This led directly to a tag match with Black and Humberto Carrillo against Austin Theory and Buddy Murphy. The faces won, but Rollins in a Mysterio mask made for a distraction that allowed Seth and his team to beat them down.
Segment 4: Edge appeared on the Peep Show with his old buddy Christian. Christian spent most of the segment tearing him down, talking about how he had no chance at beating Randy or putting on the best wrestling match of all time only to build him back up and tell him he believed in him. Orton appears on the screen to talk about how pathetic Edge is and says his redemption story will end. Edge says no it won’t.
Segment 5: MVP runs down R-Truth and Bobby Lashley locks him in the Full Nelson. The Viking Raiders and Street Profits face off in a decathlon of ridiculous events which ended in a 5-5 tie.
Segment 6: Apollo Crews talks up how he’ll be defending the US Championship at Backlash against the winner of a triple threat match between Kevin Owens, Angel Garza and Andrade. Owens attacks Angel and Andrade on the way out as payback for previous pre-match attacks. Angel and Andrade ganged up on Owens early on but turned on each other mid-way through. Owens hit a Stunner on Garza and Andrade swooped in for the cover to get the win.
Segment 7: Asuka slaps Charlotte backstage. Angle picks Edge to win at Backlash. Drew McIntyre interrupts the VIP Lounge to talk smack and threatens MVP until Lashley runs in. McIntyre still gets MVP with a Glasgow Kiss when he tries to jump him from behind and this leads to Viking Raiders and Street Profits emerging.
Segment 8: Bobby Lashley and MVP defeated the Viking Raiders. Afterwards Lashley locks Ivar in the Full Nelson until McIntyre drives him off with a Claymore, but Lashley was right back on his feet outside the ring!
Segment 9: The main event sees Asuka face off with Charlotte Flair in a very lengthy non-title match. It begins with Bayley and Sasha Banks on commentary until the IIconics attack them and run them off. Several minutes later, Nia Jax emerges to distract Asuka and this allows Charlotte to hit her with a running big boot for the victory.
