Ohio Valley Wrestling Results and Recap (8/31) – A Rush Rematch

Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s Ohio Valley Wrestling Results and Recap!

Looks like OVW has a fun show planned for us, so let’s get things started.

“Rockstar” Ryan Howe defeated “The Nephilim” D’Mone Solavino via pinfall

This was a great start to the show as Solavino and Howe threatened to steal the show right away.

Solavino had a great showing and they were evenly matched as they relied more on a brawling style than wrestling.

How caught Solavine showboating and hit with a Double or Nothing DDT for the pin.

    Adam Revolver’s COVID update

Revolver came out in a full body isolation suit and with an entourage.

He thanked everyone for coming for what will be his weekly COVID update.

He cited every COVID prevention commercial in a typical heel way, insulting the fans in attendance by telling them not to drink anymore bleach.

After mocking Oprah for giving away free gifts (in this case free masks) he pointed out everyone should wear their masks unless it’s a protest, because then it doesn’t count.

He introduced his entourage consisting of “doctors” to further insult the fans. We loved Dr. Faulty.

Like a good heel, Revolver insulted everyone in the COVID discussion.

Roman Rozell defeated DL3 (w/Cali Young) via submission

This was an entertaining match that felt more like a goof fest at times with DL3’s antics, like berating Cali every time things didn’t go his way.

Rozell locked in the Patriot’s Wheel for the submission win to continue his undefeated streak.

Tag Team Match – Legacy of Brutality (Hy-Zaya and Steve Michaels) (w/Josh Ashcroft) defeated “J-Mo” Jesse Morris and “Big Beef” Gnarls Garvin via pin

Ohio Valley Wrestling Results felt pretty sure this was going to be a slaughter, and we weren’t disappointed.

From the opening bell, LOB demonstrated the brutality part of their name as Michaels hit Garvin with a splash for the pin.

After the match, Ashcroft reminded everyone that LOB is the longest reigning tag team champions in OVW history.

He then officially introduced Steve Michaels as their newest member and challenge anyone in the locker room to challenge them.

Rush Division Championship – Dimes (c) defeated “Category 5” Corey Storm via pin

After interfering in their last match, Jay Bradley was banned from ringside.

Storm took control early, pounding on Dimes from the beginning and bouncing him off everything he could.

Dimes fought back, giving himself a breather, but Storm went right back after him.

Storm had it won, but he accidentally knocked out the referee, but a new one came out late.

Dimes knocked out the new referee with a chair, Storm superkicked the chair into Dimes’ face.

Bradley came out and chokeslammed Storm onto the chair, but Storm kicked out.

Dimes rolled Storm up for the pin while he was distracted by Bradley.

This was a really good show with quality matches bookending the show. What are your thoughts?
