This past weekend was AEW’s latest PPV event, All Out, and tonight on Dynamite the dust finally settles. We have a new #1 contender for AEW Champion Jon Moxley, Matt Hardy will speak following his scary fall at the show, and we have some matches as well. Let’s break down what to expect from AEW Dynamite this week.
Lance Archer Addresses AEW Champion Jon Moxley
Anyone who was watching New Japan Pro Wrestling earlier this year knows that Lance Archer and Jon Moxley are a dangerous combination. They met in the Tokyo Dome over the IWGP United States Championship, with Moxley being the winner. Now in AEW, it’s time to roll this one back.
Archer won the Casino Battle Royale, last eliminating Eddie Kingston. Kingston technically went under the rope instead of over the top before elimination. While Moxley might be the one to come out and confront Archer, don’t count The Mad King out.
Matt Hardy Speaks Following All Out
The biggest story coming out of All Out was that of Matt Hardy, who took a nasty fall minutes into this match with Sammy Guevara. AEW caught a lot of flack for letting this match continue past this, but in the end Hardy is somehow okay. Tonight, he will address fans live on Dynamite, to thank them for the well wishes.
Mr. Brodie Lee Defends The TNT Championship Against Dustin Rhodes
After the loss of an eight man tag match at All Out to a team captained by Dustin Rhodes, Mr. Brodie Lee has to defend his TNT Championship for the first time. Lee tore Rhodes’ brother apart just mere weeks ago, so Rhodes is still fired up and eager for revenge. This is the only championship match on this card, and seeing Dustin Rhodes in big singles matches is a rare thing indeed.
Also announced is Kip Sabian revealing his best man for the upcoming wedding to Penelope Ford, Chris Jericho & Jake Hager vs. Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss in a No Disqualification tag team match, The Lucha Bros vs. Jurassic Express, Nyla Rose vs. Tay Conti, and Orange Cassidy vs. Angelico.
