WWE Raw Preview is expecting a decent show tonight after last week’s was better than we expected.
While Drew McInytre’s absence due to having COVID was felt (we expect another PSA tonight), the show didn’t seem to miss a beat as Triple H stepped up to face off with Randy Orton.
But things went awry when Alexa Bliss appeared and burned Orton with a quick burst during his and Triple H’s match.
And tonight it looks like Orton’s going to return with bandages and a possible eye patch following last week’s attack.
We expect he’ll give a standout promo along the lines of going on how it’s not the first time he’s been hurt and it helped cleanse him and make him understand what he has to do now.
Of course, he may regret not burning Bliss alive a couple of weeks ago and say that he owes her thanks or something along those lines, so we expect he’ll pop into Bliss’ match with Asuka at some point to return the favor.
It’s also likely that this will throw a wrench into Orton’s Royal Rumble plans as there have been rumors he’ll face the Fiend in a Firefly Fun House match similar to Jon Cena’s at the PPV.
Could Orton pull double duty or will his Royal Rumble plans change after tonight?
Asuka vs. Alexa Bliss
This will be the first time we’ve seen Bliss in the ring since she defeated Nikki Cross in November on Raw to close out that friendship angle.
This looks like a way for Bliss to be inserted into the Raw Women’s Championship race and for her to have a dominant run similar to the Fiend’s when he went after Rollins.
Bliss definitely deserves another title reign, and we hope this isn’t just an excuse to have Orton come after her and bring out the Fiend.
If she’s left to compete, we expect Asuka to win, but to be shocked and frightened if Bliss pops back up throughout the match similar to the Fiend, and it could set up a fun feud between the two.
We think it’d be a cool rivalry between the Empress of Tomorrow and the Fiendess for control over the Raw women’s division.
This would also give Charlotte Flair time to further her rivalry with “Mama Flai”r, as Lacey Evans now calls herself.
Your daddy taught me more in one night than you ever will sweetheart. 💅
I enjoyed your lil class session though. Untill next time🥂 #Raw #MamaFlair https://t.co/VUCf9yiMgu pic.twitter.com/VsnqpiwVq4

Lacey Evans to Continue Taunting Charlotte Flair
This storyline is one of the better ones the WWE has going. It’s simply fun and it gets Ric Flair on our screens a little more.
Evans has been a near tireless worker for the WWE since her feud with Becky Lynch, and her in ring skills have improved tremendously yet it seems like she’s been underappreciated by the WWE brass for months.
That looks to be changing now that she’s in a feud (with a couple of wins to boot) with arguably the best competitor in the women’s division and one of the best in the world in general.
Charlotte Flair gets a lot of flack for winning so much and being in nearly every storyline, and we’ve let our feeling be known on this on multiple occasions, but she is simply the best.
It’s a testament to her that she’s been able to maintain a high standard for so long, and now she finally gets a feud with another rising start instead of rehashing an old one.
This one is going to be fun to watch, and WWE Raw Preview can’t wait to see what’s in store for tonight.
