This past Sunday at AEW Revolution, Ethan Page shocked the world when he made his debut as part of the Face Of The Revolution ladder match. While he failed to claim a shot at the TNT Championship, he made an impression on fans that he is not a name to sleep on.
He enters a packed roster, but is pushing to get his first win tonight when he faces off with Lee Johnson of The Nightmare Family. Johnson is on a four match win streak, so beating him tonight will just further boost the ego of Ethan Page.
Ethan Page Puts Lee Johnson Down
Page would be mad about having to deal with QT Marshall at ringside, after requesting a singles match tonight. Johnson won’t need someone like Marshall to win however, he’s just there for morale support. Page started with a punch to the jaw, before Johnson showed his speed and hit a big dropkick on Page.
Johnson would be hit with a lariat, before being thrown into the corner and run down with a shoulder tackle upon getting free. Throughout the break, Johnson took some extra control after getting Page outside and diving onto him. Page sent him into the barricade before hitting a butterfly backbreaker off it.
Back in the ring, he’d nail another big backbreaker, and get a two count. Page would apply a big waist lock, Johnson fighting free. Johnson would slip out of a back suplex and nailed a neckbreaker, before hitting a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Page & Johnson went up top, but Johnson was slammed down before Page stepped through the ropes with a cutter.
Johnson went for a dive and landed awkwardly on the knee, before Page just ran in and kicked him right in the side of the head. Page would hit the Ego’s Edge, and this one was done. After the bell, Page would keep attacking Johnson, and QT Marshall did nothing to help. Dustin Rhodes made the save, and QT Marshall once again abandoned the Nightmare Family.
