At NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver, MSK would defeat both Legado Del Fantama & Grizzled Young Veterans to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions. However, despite losing to MSK twice, Grizzled Young Veterans still feel like those titles belong to them. They are soon to be recognized as the NXT Tag Team Champions, provided they get another shot at MSK.
Grizzled Young Veterans Talk A Big Game, But Get Interrupted
After feeling like MSK have been ducking them for weeks now, Grizzled Young Veterans had an issue with them being in the main event tonight and not defending the belts. They’d say that once again, they’re the best tag team in NXT, and that they belong on the top of the division. However, before Zack Gibson could get to the point, they’d be met by two Veterans who just happen to also be grizzled.
Timothy Thatcher & Tommaso Ciampa would come to the ring, and remind everyone that they’re in the tag team division as well. Last time they met Zack Gibson and James Drake, GYV found a way to get past them. However, while Thatcher was away from NXT, he researched GYV by watching their old matches. Now, he knows how to beat them.
Timothy Thatcher & Tommaso Ciampa Send Grizzled Young Veterans Running
While Thatcher & Ciampa were dressed for a match, Grizzled Young Veterans weren’t. Ciampa would take off his boot and slam Gibson in the face with it, before Thatcher followed him outside. Drake would be beaten down in the ring by Ciampa, and soon both members of Grizzled Young Veterans were running for the hills.
