The breakup of Mexisquad came as a shock to many fans of ROH, and now Flamita is flaunting his new more evil ways. He was able to get into the finals of Survival of the Fittest 2021, where he was the first eliminated, by old partner Bandido. Flamita responded by putting Bandido through a table, adding more issues between him and his old allies. With Bandido in the main event, Rey Horus will take the fight to Demonic Flamita tonight, in a rematch from earlier this year.
Rey Horus Avenges The Attack On Bandido
Before Flamita would even get into the ring, Horus would kick him off the apron to start this grudge match. Horus nailed a hurricanrana over the top rope to a great reaction from the crowd. Flamita tried to counter an irish whip on the outside, but Horus was able to drive Flamita right into the barricade. Back in the ring, Horus came off the top rope with a front crossbody, and took a front dropkick on the way down.
Flamita would hit a single leg dropkick to a seated Horus before doing a cocky one foot pin, before setting his opponent up on the top rope. Horus had his mask torn at before he’d be tied into the Tree of Woe and hit with another dropkick. Flamita would nail a heavy chop before choking Horus in the corner, keeping him there with some shoulder tackles.
Horus fought free and hit a twisting body scissors to send Flamita to the outside, before hitting a no hands senton over the top rope to take Flamita down after some misdirection. A Tornado DDT would spike Flamita on his head back in the ring, before getting a two count. Flamita would be sent to the apron, and he’d come back in with a slingshot DDT and a sitout Liger Bomb for a two count.
Up to the top rope, Flamita came down with a Frog Splash, but he’d take too long to come down and meet the shins of Horus on impact. Horus would take a superkick and come back with a Satellite DDT for a two count. He’d head up top but take a kick to the rear and be hit with the Double Knee Facebuster from a Muscle Buster lift, before a superkick. A powerbomb would be countered by Horus, getting the pin off a sunset flip.
The perfect fast paced match to get a crowd excited for a PPV. Flamita & Horus had a solid grudge match, and Horus getting the win was the right call here. These two are great together, and this was another solid addition to the Mexisquad breakup feud. Match Rating: 3/5 (***)
Matt Taven To Put His Title Shot On The Line In A Steel Cage Match With Vincent
Between the matches in Hour One, we’d see Matt Taven bring Vincent to the ring. For a live edition of Trending With Taven, where Taven would say that win, lose or draw? Taven will leave ROH if Vincent agrees to one more match. Vincent wouldn’t accept this as that’d take the fun out of it, but he’d instead ask for his Ring of Honor World Championship shot.
Taven did not get his proper one on one rematch after losing the ROH World Championship, and hasn’t cashed that in just yet. Taven would agree to put the title shot on the line, if Vincent comes alone. Just one on one, and Vincent even wants it to be a steel cage. Vincent would agree, and the match was set. Taven would now be able to attack Vincent, but The Righteous would have him outnumbered, and sent him through the neon sign set up on the ladder, which was part of his Trending with Taven set.
The Bouncers Show Their New Attitude, But They Can’t Beat That Danhausen
The Bouncers have embraced violence. Beer City Bruiser was the first to take this approach, smashing beer bottles over Matt Taven & Mike Bennett, but now he has Brian Milonais on board as well. Tonight, they look to apply their new methods against a team who are bizarre as they are dangerous as they take on former ROH World Champion PCO and Danhausen.
The crowd would be fully behind Danhausen, but The Bouncers would be right on him as they knocked PCO out of the ring. They nailed a double chokeslam on Danhausen in the middle of the ring. Milonas choked Danhausen on the ropes as Ken Dixon laughed at ringside. Danhausen almost got free, before he’d take a heavy lariat from Beer City Bruiser. Bruiser would hit the Samoan Drop, and Milonas the trust fall senton.
Danhausen dodged a splash in the corner and hit a Release German Suplex on Brusier, and got a much needed tag to PCO, who would hit a flapjack before taking Milonas out with a lariat into the corner and a crossbody. PCO would nail a flying senton bomb onto Bruiser on the apron, before hitting the rolling Cannonball from the ropes. Danhausen looked for a chokeslam on Brusier, and PCO helped a little to make it a reality.
PCO would malfunction and go after Danhausen, who led him outside and had him hit a cannonball on Bruiser. Milonas took out PCO with a senton on the outside, before Bruiser hit a slingshot vader bomb to PCO on the floor. Back in the ring, Danhausen would pour some teeth on the mat and hit a Death Valley Driver, before PCO nailed the PCOSault for the win.
This match was stupidly fun. From Danhausen thinking he solo chokeslammed Brusier, to the sweet slingshot vader bomb, to Danhausen showing his insane power with a Death Valley Driver. Kane & Daniel Bryan walked so PCO & Danhausen would pour teeth all over the ring before a 52 year old hit a moonsault. Match Rating: 3/5 (***)
