AEW Fight For The Fallen Results: Ricky Starks FTW Championship Celebration, Hiroshi Tanahashi Is Coming To AEW (07/28)

As part of Fyter Fest, Brian Cage put the FTW Championship on the line against former Team Taz partner, Ricky Starks, Cage gave his all, but with Team Taz against him? He was unable to come away with the championship. Tonight, Ricky Starks will celebrate this major championship win, but Team Taz better be prepared for Brian Cage to try and crash the party.

Brian Cage Does As Expected, And Crashes The Party

After being played to the ring by a New Orleans jazz band and getting some orange roses, Ricky Starks would hit the ring. He’d claim Powerhouse Hobbs is out recruiting today, and would call out Brian Cage. Starks claimed to be the glue of Team Taz, knowing his role. While Cage was vanity searching for himself, Stark was covering up his mistakes.

Cage wouldn’t even check on Starks when he injured his neck, and it took him 17 years to still be less than Ricky Starks. Even Starks couldn’t teach Cage charisma, and he sure as hell wouldn’t have the guts to come to the ring. Cage would prove this wrong, as he ran to the ring and tore through the band.

When he hit the ring, Starks & Hook would run to the hills, not wanting to face The Machine even with a two to one advantage. It’s clear this feud is just getting started, and that Cage is ready to show that he doesn’t need Team Taz.

Hiroshi Tanahashi Is Next In Line For The Winner Of Tonight’s IWGP United States Championship Match

Tony Khan promised a huge announcement tonight, and it was partially that the Forbidden Door is officially wide open. NJPW legend Hiroshi Tanahashi would comment ahead of the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship. He’s won many championships in his career, including nearly winning the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship this past weekend at Wrestle Grand Slam.

However, he’s getting right back into the title hunt, as he has claimed the next shot at the IWGP United States Championship match. He will be facing whoever wins between Lance Archer & Hikuelo, and promises to win the belt in a flash.

Can Hiroshi Tanahashi add another singles title to his legacy? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
