AEW has brought a lot of fans back to wrestling. This includes growing a huge audience in the UK, including myself. However, even though AEW has been around for three years, it has not had a show in the UK yet.
It seems like this is mostly due to the Pandemic, with it being reported that AEW was planning on coming to the UK in 2019 with Fyter Fest. But that obviously didn’t happen due to wrestling taking on massive changes and not being able to travel, putting plans on hold. But now, it looks like it’s possible we could be seeing AEW finally come to the UK.
When will we see AEW in the UK?
It is reported that AEW is now aiming at 2022. It has not been confirmed or reported of what time of year it will take place. But there has been some speculation that it will be around the winter holiday period. If this is true, AEW may hold a PPV at that time; the usual date for the PPV in the winter is early November. So making it possible that we could see AEW come to the UK in November.
Where will we see AEW in the UK?
The reports suggest that AEW will be going to London for its first show. This isn’t that surprising as this is the Fulham stadium and with Tony Khan owning Fulham. However, there is much surprise that AEW British home will be the Craven Cottage stadium in London. It’s one of the biggest stadiums in the UK, giving it a pretty big audience. After that, we will hopefully see AEW go to Manchester and Newcastle.
