NJPW Autumn Attack Night Two Results: Will Ospreay Tests Karl Fredericks In Main Event Clash

We’re now onto the second episode of NJPW Strong that was taped at Autumn Attack. It’s yet another stacked card, with four major matches in the mix. Alex Coughlin has another trial match to prove he’s ready to graduate from Young Lion status, Mega Coaches in action, Bullet Club in eight man tag team action, and a huge main event of Karl Fredericks and Will Ospreay. Let’s waste no time, and get into the results.

Mega Coaches Get Some Reps In Ahead Of

Kicking off the show was Alex Coughlin taking on Chris Dickinson. Coughlin is the last of his class to potentially graduate, and has been showing promise in every single match of his challenge series. However, he was in for a tough one here. He tried to beat Dickinson on the mat – and failed. Matching Dickinson with strikes? Not likely. Coughlin had a slight power edge, but Dickinson held onto submissions through slams before grabbing an armbar for the win.

Up next was Mega Coaches, Rocky Romero & Ryusuke Taguchi taking on West Coast Wrecking Crew, Jorel Nelson & Royce Issacs. WCWC had a size and experience edge, but Taguchi & Romero are a unique duo that is hard to prepare for. They’d flaunt this unique offense with forever lariats, flying hip attacks, and more. WCWC would do their best to combat this, but in the end the king of sneaky style would get the win with a backslide pin.

Will Ospreay Proves He’s The King Of Strong

After a quick break, we’d get into a chaotic eight man tag team contest. We have BULLET CLUB here, with Chris Bey, Taiji Ishimori, El Phantasmo, and Hikul’eo looking to make Jay White proud – taking on a scattered team of Juice Robinson, TJP, Clark Conners, and Lio Rush. Lio Rush spent a good stretch of the match isolated by Bullet Club, before all hell broke loose. In anticipation of next week’s Bullrope Match, Robinson brought the titular weapon, and the match would end in a DQ after Hikuleo used it.

In the main event, we’d have a proper NJPW classic on our hands. Will Ospreay showed up at Resurgence and Fighting Spirit Unleashed – both times goading Karl Fredericks into a fight. Fredericks would fight for his own honor as well as that of the honor of Katsuyori Shibata and the LA Dojo. He’d fight like hell, perhaps giving his best performance yet – but even after pulling out the hesitation dropkick and rear naked choke? Ospreay was too much, and Hidden Blade would take him down.

Will anyone be able to humble Will Ospreay? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
