At All Out, we were supposed to see a big time match between Andrade El Idolo & PAC. It would be pushed back to an episode of Rampage, where they had an incredible match. We’d see Chavo Guerrero help Andrade cheat to win, and get taken out by his client for it. Tonight, Andrade will prove he didn’t need help to beat PAC in a match that could be even better than their last.
No One Is Around To Mess This Fight Up
Without anyone in either corner, this one would be a clean fight. PAC started fast with a series of kicks, a snap german suplex – and when Andrade rolled outside, a perfect dive. This is a man who can do it all, but Black Arrow wouldn’t be hit early. Andrade took him down by pulling the ropes, but missed the running knee strike.
Pace slowing down, PAC would just focus in on the heavy strikes before getting a side headlock on the mat. Andrade fought free, and PAC would be sent into the corner. Rushing in, Andrade would catch PAC as he tried to dodge with a boot to the face! Andrade would hit a twisting tornillo to the outside, picture perfect.
Back in the ring, this didn’t even get a one count. Andrade tried to take the breath of PAC away with a headlock, before sending him outside onto his head with a low dropkick. PAC was thrown face first into the apron, which of course is the hardest part of the ring (or so commentators always claim.)
Andrade El Idolo Gets Caught
PAC would weather the storm of Andrade, and look to hit a brainbuster. Andrade would counter and go for Three Amigos – which got a two count. The crowd was red hot for this match, and AEW really needs to frequent Miami and this venue- that being the James L. Knight Center. Andrade nailed a kick to the face but missed the slingshot dropkick and crashed to the outside.
PAC would come off the apron with a hurricane, sending Andrade right into a chair – before going up top for an insane moonsault! Back in the ring, PAC would fly into a cutter onto Andrade, spiking his head into the mat before thinking Brutalizer. Andrade would manage to avoid the submission, before hitting a slam onto the apron. PAC would be hung through the ropes, and a massive slingshot DDT could have ended a career.
Back in the ring, Andrade wanted a moonsault but PAC would stop him before looking for a top rope sheerdrop brainbuster. Andrade was somehow still in this with some strikes, before a superkick and poisonrana had him seeing stars again before nailing a back elbow. They’d trade pinfall attempts, with PAC countering the Hammerlock Flatliner for the three count as the lights went out!
These two have next level chemistry, as shown again with another fantastic match – akin to Kota Ibushi & Tetsuya Naito in style. How WWE didn’t find anything for PAC or Andrade El Idolo and shelved them for months is beyond everyone, and this match showed them as stars. AEW putting matches like this on Rampage shows it’s not a B-Show Match Rating: 4.5/5 (**** 1/2)
When they came back on, Malakai Black would mist the face of PAC and take PAC down! Arn Anderson would come out to make the save, before Cody Rhodes rushed rival down. Rhodes looked more motivated than ever, and showed that he had the killer instinct now – but Block avoided the chair shot. Who will win between Rhodes & Black tomorrow?
