FTR have done some serious harm to The Lucha Bros in recent weeks, and PAC has taken note. He’s been busy with other matters, but the time has come to seek revenge on the behalf of his Death Triangle stablemates. Tonight, he goes one on one with Dax Harwood, the more proven singles wrestler of FTR – in a battle to gain some respect. Harwood however, just wants to hit the pay window and get onto Full Gear, where alongside Cash Wheeler – they want to add to their gold taken from Lucha Bros.
PAC Shows Dax Harwood What It’s Like To Be In Pain
They’d lock up to a stalemate, before Dax got a wrist lock. PAC would try to get moving before taking a hip toss, coming right back with a scoop slam. These two were evenly matched, but Dax took PAC out with a huge lariat. The heavy blows kept on coming, but PAC nailed a German Suplex and sent him to the outside for a massive dive over the top rope.
Dax was bleeding from his chest after this one, showing how physical this match already has been. He’d seek a powerbomb onto the ramp, but took a back body drop onto it instead. Blanchard claimed PAC cheated, and this was enough to get Dax a chance to nail an Arn Anderson style spinebuster for a two count. The abdominal stretch was applied to PAC, and as soon as PAC got free – he’d be whipped right into the corner.
PAC would get Dax up top, and take him down with a brainbuster off the top rope. PAC was up first and back to the top rope for the shotgun dropkick to the back. Dax was launched across the ring and nearly into the corner face first. PAC would keep the pressure on with some pump kicks, before being planted with a brainbuster for two.
All Hell Breaks Loose Ahead Of Full Gear
A second would be attempted, but PAC slipped out and nailed a kick below the jaw. Black Arrow was drawn, but Tully tussled the ropes and ruined his footing. PAC was met up top with a back suplex, but came back with a German. A lariat and rebound bomb got Dax two, despite his best move yet. The big uppercuts were countered into the Brutalizer, and Dax submitted right away. Why risk the shoulder ahead of Full Gear?
After the match, FTR would beat down PAC – and things got worse when Malakai Black & Andrade El Idolo got into the mix. Lucha Bros & Cody Rhodes would try to make the save, and this was an all out brawl! Bodies were everywhere, but Lucha Bros, Rhodes & PAC cleared the ring. Do we have an eight man tag set up for the post Full Gear Dynamite? Nope. Rhodes & PAC will have Black & Andrade at Full Gear!
Hangman Page Is Finally Ready
The story of Hangman Page in AEW has been one of ups and downs. He was in the first ever match contested over the AEW World Championship – but he failed. Since then, he’s really struggled to find his confidence as a professional wrestler. Back then, he had The Elite to fall back on – but that ended poorly. Now, with a reliable set of friends in The Dark Order, Page has another chance – and it could see him take down Kenny Omega in the process. One of his best friends during the start of AEW has become his mortal enemy, and they meet face to face tonight as they seek to put pen to paper – making their match at Full Gear official.
Dark Order & The Elite were booted from the building, so this one might go smoothly. Page got his usual heroes welcome, and Omega got the expected mixed reaction. People want to cheer him – but he’s been such a prick as AEW World Champion. This will be defense #7, which gets him closer to the current record of #9, held by Jon Moxley.
Page would put pen to page, making it official. He’d just say he’s out of things to say, and just wants to get to the asskicking Omega has earned. Omega however would look to bait Page into an attack tonight – giving another view on Page in The Elite. They’d be helping him back into the mix, when he was failing. Omega saw some of himself in Page, but Page fired back by going after Omega’s past with Kota Ibushi.
Maybe Omega has surpassed Ibushi, but Page is about to surpass Omega at Full Gear. He’s feared Page for over a year, and didn’t want a fire lit under his ass. But here we are – with Page more fired up than ever. They’d shake hands, before Don Callis with a fake beard nailed Page with a camera. Callis has been gone for weeks, and now we know why. Omega signed the contract with the blood of Page, a perfect final moment before they match up on Saturday.
